The Razor A5 Lux Kick Scooter is a great stunt scooter for teens and adults. It’s a good-looking scooter that is durable enough to go the distance, thanks to strong aluminum tube construction. Lightweight too. You can ride it all day, every day, and it will keep going as long as you do.

Read this buyer’s guide below to see what we liked about it and what we didn’t.

Is the Razor A5 Lux A Kick Butt Kick Scooter?

This is the perfect kick scooter for fun, trips to the store, riding to your friend’s house, the train station, and everything else. It has a folding design that makes it convenient to store at work, take with you on public transportation, stash in your trunk, or stow in the garage.

Razor A5 Lux Kick Scooter Build Quality And Design

Although this Razor A5 scooter is not an electric scooter, it’s still a fast and fun way to get around town. I was impressed by how reliable and rugged it is. That aluminum tube frame is tough and feels like it will last for years. It would be perfect for a college student. You can also have a look at electric scooter reviews such as the Segway ES1 or the Segway Ninebot kickscooter ES2.

This trick scooter deck is also made of tough aluminum. While it could be roomier, it still feels great under your feet. That build quality is solid.

Razor is a company that is known for creating scooters and self-balancing hoverboards that are in demand with not just kids, like the Razor E100, the Pocket Mod, Razor E300, and the Razor a6, but older kids and adults as well. The Razor A5 Lux is no exception. It has a maximum weight capacity of 220 pounds, so it comfortably supports riders of nearly all sizes, who can use it and experience the smooth ride that those extra-large 200 mm urethane wheels give you.

They really make it so that you don’t feel every little bump. They also give you better control of the scooter, grip the road and make the ride comfortable. And no worries about clearing things like small curbs and train tracks. These tires are awesome. Razor recommends that you don’t ride this scooter in wet conditions. This one is for dry days, as the wheels are designed for those conditions. If you want Razor a5 air tires, you can buy replacement air tires for this scooter as well.

This pro scooter has a decent design. It could be more stylish, but it’s still one of the better designs compared to most kick scooters. You can get the A5 lux kick scooter FFP in pink, blue, and red. My favorite is the lux kick scooter FFP blue. And you don’t have to worry about a lot of assembly when it arrives at your door. This scooter comes fully assembled, but Razor does advise you to simply make sure that all of the screws and bolts are tightened properly.

The Lux scooter itself weighs just 9.4 pounds, it is easy to fold it in half and carry it with you for easy transport thanks to an easy-to-use folding mechanism. Another nice feature aside from the folding system is the retractable kickstand, which allows your child to stand it up neatly when they are done, instead of just throwing it on the ground. This also helps with the wear and tear of your fun toy, helping it to last longer.

Another feature that I really liked is the adjustable handlebar, which allows kids and adults of various sizes to get a perfect fit. Taller riders are taken care of. This means that as your child grows, this vehicle can grow right along with them. This is one of the best features of the Razor A5 Lux. The handlebar grips felt great in my hands too.

As for brakes, the Razor a5 Lux scooter has a really good though simple rear fender brake system. Just push on the back mudguard, and you are braking. The fender brake responds very well if you need to come to a sudden stop.

Razor A5 Lux Kick Scooter Performance

One of the coolest kid’s scooters ever. I was surprised it handled so well and offered such a comfortable ride. Whether you are a kid or an adult, this scooter has a lot to offer. If you purchase this model, it will be with your family for years thanks to its durable aircraft-grade aluminum construction.

And the patented rear fender brake is nice and responsive, keeping you safe when you need to make a sudden stop. Those bigger wheels also really make this scooter extra special. The extra-large urethane tires just feel great on the road. This is one of the best scooters out there. If you want a little power instead of a kickscooter, check out our Gotrax GKS electric scooter review or our Maxtra electric scooter review, as both offer similar speeds of about 10 mph and 7.5 mph, respectively. However, if you want more speed, check out the EcoReco M3, which tops out at around 20 mph.

Razor A5 Lux Scooter Bottom Line

My final verdict is that this is a fun, reliable, and all-around excellent kick scooter. If you are looking for an adult kick scooter, don’t be afraid to check this one out. In my opinion, it is one of the cooler kick scooters for adults that kids can also enjoy, outside of a dedicated electric scooter for adults. It is a great value-for-money purchase, and I think it beats electric skateboards. I’m using it as an adult scooter, and I love it.
