our Verdict

The Razer Pro Type Ultra had testers pleased with its ergonomics and multi-device connectivity. Reviewers from Tech Radar liked how comfortable its wrist rest was, and they also appreciated that its USB receiver and Bluetooth connection allowed for up to three connected devices. Reviewers from Rtings were delighted with its 0.7ms latency when wired and 1.3ms latency over its USB receiver.
During their typing experiments, they also established that its linear Razer Yellow switches were relatively quiet, and they could remap and program all keys through the Razer Synapse 3 software. This gives it an edge over the Razer Anansi with its five macro keys – more on that in our Razer Anansi MMO Gaming Keyboard review.
However, they felt that its lack of RGB backlighting might discourage gamers and that its large footprint (with the wrist rest included) might inconvenience storage. The Redragon K630 addresses both of these issues, so feel free to check it out in our Redragon Dragonborn K630 RGB review. Also disappointing was that it only works with Linear switches.

Overview
The Razer Pro Type Ultra is a premium wireless keyboard that was first launched in late 2021. It ships with a detachable wrist rest and it also has two incline settings to choose from. Its keycaps are made out of ABS material, and like most highly rated keyboards, all its keys are programmable. The Pro Type Ultra measures about 17.4 by 8.7 inches with the wrist rest and has white backlighting to make typing in the dark easier.
As a wireless keyboard, the Razer Pro Type Ultra connects to devices through Bluetooth or a USB receiver. Its Bluetooth connection allows it to pair with up to three devices, which is also at par with the best wireless keyboards on the market. The Pro Type Ultra also has a battery life that lasts between 207 to 214 hours, but similar to the Corsair KS3, it can be used in wired mode while charging.
