If you’re looking for a mouse with staggering customization and comfort at a decent price, the Razer Maga V2 Pro MMO Wireless is great. The main issue, however, is its heavy design, which hinders fast-paced gameplay, especially for FPS situations.

our Verdict

Although the mouse feels like it has a great build quality, the Razer Maga V2 Pro is too heavy, especially for FPS gaming where it affects performance. However, the mouse is very comfortable and comes with a whopping 42 programmable buttons and a programmable scroll wheel.
However, the software is complex and hard to use. But you can customize the scroll wheel behavior, which is great. Another plus is the mouse’s low latency, which is tested at 3.5 ms. The battery life is excellent as well, offering over 150 hours of constant motion.
It’s a complicated mouse, but the 12-button side panel and the comfortable grip texture and finger rest are superb for MMO gaming.

Overview
First released back in late 2022, the Razer Naga V2 Pro is a flagship-grade wireless gaming mouse that boasts a textured grip type for comfort during long hours of gaming.
Similar to some of the best computer mouse options available in its range, this mouse supports both wireless (Bluetooth and a USB wireless dongle, no built-in storage space) and wired connectivity out of the box.
And just like the top-ranked gaming mouse out on the market today, it features Razer Chroma RGB lighting adjustable using the Synapse 3 customization software.
However, if you prefer wired gaming mice, and want to go for a model from the same brand, then make sure to take a look at our Razer Naga X review. The Razer Naga V2 Pro comes with 6.1 feet long braided USB-C cable for charging and wired connectivity. And it has 42 additional buttons for fast-paced, competitive games.

Market Context | – | While the Razer Naga Trinity is a wired-only model, the Razer Naga V2 Pro features both wired and wireless connectivity. And the Razer Naga V2 Pro sports an adjustable scroll wheel along with a Hyperscroll mode, which the Razer Naga Trinity lacks. In addition, the Razer Naga V2 Pro has a significantly better 30000 DPI optical sensor compared to the Razer Naga Trinity’s 16000 DPI mouse sensor. It also features a blazing-fast consistent click latency of just 3.5 ms, whereas the Trinity has a 6 ms lag. | At just 88.7 grams, the SteelSeries Aerox 9 is a significantly lighter mouse when compared against the 133.1-gram Razer Naga V2 Pro. But the Aerox 9 wireless gaming mouse does have a much lower number of programmable buttons (20) compared to the Naga’s 42 programmable buttons. And while both models feature built-in rechargeable batteries, the Naga V2 does have whopping 300 hours of battery life on a single charge, whereas the SteelSeries Aerox 9 mouse only has a maximum battery life of 180 hours. | Even though both are wireless gaming mice, only the Razer Naga V2 Pro features an inbuilt rechargeable battery, while the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED requires a AA battery. And the Logitech G604 LIGHTSPEED is a strictly wireless model, which means it doesn’t have a separate wired mode for lower latency, unlike the V2 Pro. Additionally, the V2 Pro comes with replaceable 12-button side plates, which the G604 lacks. But the Logitech G Hub customization software does have compatibility with macOS devices. | The original Razer Naga Pro is the direct predecessor to the newer Razer Naga V2 Pro, and they both feature a very similar-looking right-handed ergonomic design. As a result, they also perform extremely similarly in most regards. However, the Razer Naga V2 Pro does have an adjustable scroll wheel with a Hyperscroll mode, which the original version lacks. The Razer Naga V2 Pro also has 96 scroll steps for precise scrolling, whereas the Naga only has 24 scroll steps. However, at 116.4 grams, the Naga Pro is slightly lighter. |
