Razer Deathadder Essential Review

While the Razer DeathAdder Essential is a strictly wired mouse, the Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro gaming mouse supports both wired and wireless connectivity. But still, despite featuring a built-in rechargeable battery, at just 88 grams, the Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro is a lighter mouse than the 93.2-gram Razer DeathAdder Essential. And the V2 features customizable RGB lighting, whereas the Essential only has green lighting. Additionally, the V2 has 18 mouse buttons, while the Essential mouse has 12 programmable buttons.

At just 59 grams, the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT, as the name suggests, is a significantly lighter mouse when compared to the 93.2-gram Razer DeathAdder Essential, despite it being a wireless mouse and coming with a sealed rechargeable battery. And surprisingly, the wireless Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT has a satisfactory click latency of just 9 ms, which is actually faster than the Razer DeathAdder Essential’s 18 ms wired lag. Besides, the G PRO features a much higher caliber sensor.

Unlike the Glorious Model D mouse, which only has six programmable buttons, the Razer DeathAdder Essential gaming mouse features 12 different programmable buttons. However, the Glorious Model D does have a satisfactory click latency of around 11 ms compared to the Razer DeathAdder Essential’s 18 ms. And the Glorious Model D sports a significantly more consistent sensor (12000 DPI) in comparison to the DeathAdder’s 6400 DPI optical sensor. In addition, the Glorious Model D unit has a better build quality.
