When identifying the best electric bike, if you’re emphasizing motor power and budget, then the best electric hunting bike might just be the RadRover Bike. It has 750W of motor power to contend with. That goes beautifully with its 4-inch thick fat tires that are fitted with steel fenders to protect the rider from debris.

Why We Like It – RadRover Bike

Another great budget option for those who want more torque and watts in their motor, the RadRover Bike has 750W, 4-inch thick tires, and Tektro Aries disc brakes. For an easy-to-maneuver bike, open the Rad Power Bikes RadWagon review.

Pros
  • 750W Bafang mid drive hub motor
  • 4-inch fat tires covered with steel fenders
  • Tektro Aries mechanical disk brakes
Cons
  • 275 weight capacity
  • Long recharge time

Durability & Build Quality

The frame is made of 6061 aluminum, just like the expensive BAKCOU Mule Elite. What we’re impressed by are the waterproofing around connectors and wiring harness. You’ll be splashing through water a lot with these 4-inch fat tires. The top tube length is 23”, with a seat height of 28-36.5”. Its weight capacity is 275 lbs, which is lower than the Rungu Bike by 75 lbs.

Speaking of durability, if you want to see more bikes made from the 6061 aluminum, aircraft-grade frameset, read our reviews on the NCM bike, Rambo electric bike, Rambo R750 fat bike, and the Quietkat Ranger 750 ebike.

Performance (Speed & Acceleration)

The 750W doesn’t push the RadRover Bike as fast as you’d think; it caps at 20mph. It makes up excellent torque. The motor power that runs through the e-bikes gets it going, and you’ll be hitting max speed in a matter of seconds. The 7-speed Shimano Acera can shift gears beautifully to fit your needs. To push your limits, go for the Rainbod mountain gravel e bike review.

Range & Battery

The RadRover Bike’s rad battery has great capacity but a long recharge time. If you cut the rear hub motor out once in a while or use the pedal assist, you can easily top 45 miles on a single charge. This comes at the cost of 7 hours of recharge time.

Safety Features

The most notable feature of the RadRover Bike is the fenders. They’re made of steel, which is great, but more importantly, they keep any kind of debris from flying in your face when you’re taking off at 20mph. You also get an LED headlight, taillight, and brake light. The Tektro mechanical disc brakes provide superb stopping power even when you have cargo strapped to the rear rack

Value

The Radrover Electric Fat Bike is fitted with the most essential features a hunting bike needs, with the added benefit of being affordable. It has good speeds, a long battery, and great tires and brakes, only for $1599. That’s nearly $1000 cheaper than Juiced RipCurrent S. What’s most appreciated are Rad Power’s choices. If mountain bikes are more your speed, the new Radmission might be of use, or the RadRover Step Thru 1 Electric Bikes for easier mounting and dismounting.

RadRover Bike Wrap Up

The 750W of motor power the RadRover Bike has really called to those who want some hop in their step. Sure, 20mph isn’t much to write home about, but it’s the initial push that you’ll like. And when you’re ripping through mud and water, the stainless steel fenders will keep you from being hit by water and debris.
