The Philips OLED754 is a good balance of features, performance and picture quality. It does really well producing rich colors and very deep blacks. The sluggish Saphi interface, average audio quality, and inconsistent motion blur are disappointing, however.

our Verdict

The Philips OLED754 is a great choice for those looking for a balance of features, performance and picture quality. It produces rich colors and deep blacks, and supports HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and HLG for an enhanced viewing experience. The Saphi Smart interface is a bit slow, and the audio and motion blur can be inconsistent, but overall it’s a great option.

Overview

The Philips OLED754, released in 2019, is your budget option for users wanting to dive right into HDR and what it has to offer. Its contrast ratio produces inky blacks, while colors are nicely saturated and rich. This makes it a great option for watching movies and TV shows—especially with access to alternative formats like HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision. However, its interface is sluggish and annoying to deal with, nor is it a potential gaming TV, due to inferior input lag and lack of 120Hz refresh rate.
