The Panasonic NE 1054F is a commercial microwave oven, one of the best microwaves that come fitted with advanced features that allow it to prepare food pretty quickly, making it a great asset especially if you’re in the food business. The countertop microwave has a power output of 1000 watts and a decent capacity of 0.8 cubic feet. It’s big enough for heating large food containers at once, and with up to 6 different power levels, it’s easily able to prepare a wide range of foods without breaking a sweat. Is it the best Panasonic microwave? Well, it does have pretty awesome features, but whether or not it’s the best will depend on what you need it to do for you. Get on with the rest of this review to see what it has to offer.

Why We Like It – Panasonic Microwave and Oven

The NE 1054F Panasonic Microwave and Oven is one of those countertop microwaves that’s set up for heavy duty, commercial use, so if you’re involved in the food business or you run a restaurant, this is the microwave for you.

Pros
  • 1000 Watt power capacity
  • Anti theft feature
  • Braille lettering on control panel
Cons
  • No turning tray

Power & Performance

Just like the NN SN97JS Panasonic Stainless Steel Microwave and other modern microwave ovens, the NE 1054F relies on inverter technology to make sure your food comes out well & evenly cooked, and this is essential especially if you’re day involves spending a lot of time in the kitchen preparing food. The countertop microwave doesn’t have a turning tray inside, but this doesn’t stop it from heating up your food properly. It emits heat from the floor as opposed to the sides, making it more thorough & quicker in getting the job done.

Durability

The build quality of the NE 1054F Panasonic microwave is well beyond reproach. It is largely made up of stainless steel, and this makes it both easy to clean and very attractive to look at. Unlike the NN SD945S Panasonic Countertop Microwave, it features a grab and go handle that doesn’t require much effort to pull out, as well as a see through oven door so that you can always keep an eye on your food.

Ease of Use

The touch control keypad on this NE 1054F microwave keeps things simple and to the point, and it also includes braille lettering which you’ll definitely not find on a lot of slightly cheaper countertop ovens like the NN-SN686S Panasonic Microwave Ovens Countertop for example. The touch pad allows you to set up preset cooking times that range all the way from 10 seconds to 3 minutes and 30 seconds, though you will still be able to configure it up to the 99:99 minute. You’ll also be able to choose whether to cook meals in a 2 stage or 3 stage procedure, or alternate between its range of 6 cooking power levels.

Additional Features & Versatility

The intention behind the NE 1054F is that it be fit for use in a commercial setting, so Panasonic decided to include an anti theft feature so that the owner can make it useless to anyone whose not authorized to use it. The microwave also doesn’t work when the oven door is open, and this is a safety feature that makes sure you remain fully engaged whenever you’re using it. If you want a microwave oven that has a multistage cooking and memory function, the Farberware Microwave will get you sorted.

Value

Cooking gets way easier with the NE 1054 microwave, as its 10 pads allow you to save up to 20 recipes in memory, so that you can always get it to work quickly. The microwave is also approved by both the NSF and the UL, and on top of that, it comes with a 1 year limited warranty that you can claim in case of faulty or defective parts. What we do wish it came with is a genius sensor so that the cooking process could be even more automated, but even without sensor cooking, it still remains a great option for anyone who’s looking for a commercial grade microwave.

Panasonic Microwave and Oven Wrap Up

The Panasonic NE 1054F may be missing popular features such as turbo defrost and the keep warm feature that other less expensive models are known for, but this doesn’t take away from the fact that the microwave is well suited for commercial use.
