Why We Like It – Oster Reverse Crush Blender

Blenders from the Oster brand are already quite popular among foodies, and the Oster Reverse Crush Blender is no different. It consists of seven different speed settings, two of which are automatic modes that are very convenient for beginners.

Power

Every BVCB07 Z00 series blender comes with a 600 W base, the same as in our Oster blender review and stronger than the model in our Margaritaville frozen concoction maker review. Now, that might not sound like a lot. But you have to keep in mind that this blender is over 11 years old at this point. It’s perfectly fine for its age. But if you desperately need more power, you can also go for the Cleanblend Blender instead.

Speed

This is probably one of the only blenders where you get this many speed options to choose from. As we mentioned before, there are two pre-programmed automatic modes, the first of which can make excellent smoothies on demand. There’s also a Low Pulse and a High Pulse mode. And you get the usual High, Med, and Low manual settings.

Durability

This is where the excellent streak of this blender takes a huge dip. According to many recent customer reviews, the build quality doesn’t seem to be good at all. The plastic cap covering the stainless steel blades seems to break easily. In case you want a blender that can last for years to come, you definitely should rather pick up the Vitamix 7500 Professional Grade Blender.

Versatility & Attachments

Once again, the 48-ounce glass jar/pitcher, the base, and the stainless steel blades are all you get when you buy this blender. Unfortunately, there is no button to control the reversible motor manually. It only spins in reverse in either of the two pre-programmed automatic modes. Value

If you can find it for a good price, this reversible blender can be a very good value-for-money product. And you shouldn’t really face any issues finding it for cheap, as it is so old. On top of that, Oster still provides a 10-year warranty for new purchases.
