The OPOLAR USB Fan is a lightweight and compact fan that’s easily transportable from room to room without having to take an extra USB Cord with you because, on the OPOLAR fan, it’s attached. We just wish it had a little more than the standard two-speed settings. We consider it a great desk fan, the best USB fan, and a fine fan all around. You won’t be disappointed!

Why We Like It – OPOLAR Portable Travel Mini Fan

The OPOLAR Portable Travel Mini Fan is a two-speed fan that will help keep you cool on a hot summer’s day. It’s USB powered, meaning it’s very portable and not bound to being plugged into a wall, and is made from high-quality metal to be durable in any situation.

  • Lightweight and Compact
  • Saves Money on Energy Costs
  • Affordable
  • Only Two Speed Settings
  • Noisy

The OPOLAR Desk Fan offers a pleasant breeze on a hot day and, despite its relatively small size, offers excellent and efficient cooling. You can even consider it the best camping fan because of its ability to distribute air without the need for a plug. It has two-speed settings, which is largely typical for a fan of its class, but you can check out the Vornado Pivot if you want more than just high and low for settings.

The OPOLAR Handheld Fan is made from high-quality metal so it can stand up to whatever harm may try to come it’s way. It’s very lightweight, coming in at a mere 0.85 pounds, and very compact, sporting 4-inch blades and a 6-inch frame which will save your desktop a lot of space. Like the Holmes Blizzard Fan, it’s a very traditional-looking fan without many high-tech features, like an internal LED, and just simple button control.

Noise/Sound Level

The OPOLAR Personal Fan is fantastic in many aspects, but unfortunately noise level is not one of them. If you want a quiet fan, check out the Fancii USB Fan because estimates for the noise level of the OPOLAR Fan is anywhere between 52-55dB. For reference, this is just shy of normal conversation levels!

Versatility/Modern Features

The OPOLAR Portable Fan is powered by an almost four-foot USB Cable that plugs into computers, portable chargers, and just about everything else that has a USB Port. This will save you money on your energy costs by not using your air conditioner or wall outlets. OPOLAR Battery Operated fans with a rechargeable battery do exist, as do OPOLAR clip fans, and they are often paired with a USB Cord to let you decide how to power them, but unfortunately, this model isn’t one of them.

Although, for alternative desk fan models, check out our SmartDevil desk fan review and our Treva 10 fan review.

The best-selling OPOLAR Travel Fan includes a one-year replacement for product defects. Live customer care is also available seven days a week. Combine this with the unit’s very affordable $13.00 price tag, and you have a win-win situation where you don’t need to worry about breaking the bank by trying an OPOLAR product and having the freedom to return it if there is something wrong.

OPOLAR Portable Travel Mini Fan Wrap Up

The Fan’s OPOLAR main drawback is how loud it can get. Admittedly, this can be a real problem. Especially if you’re trying to sleep or like to bring your fan to work. But its affordability and money-saving capabilities should sway the vote to a more positive, instead of negative, reaction to the fan.
