The NZXT Function had critics praise it for how customizable it is. Expert testers from Rtings were pleased to find out that they could choose from a variety of up to five key switches and also liked that they were hot-swappable.
As they found out during testing, the keyboard shipped with the tools to do this, including a keycap puller and a switch puller – tools you won’t get with the NPET K20, a gaming keyboard we’ve also covered in our NPEK K20 review.
Its typing noise was also low with the linear Gatreon Red switches, and its build quality was also seen as quite good. Product testers from IGN were also impressed with how easy it was to reprogram its keys and RGB lighting sequence, as they could do this through the keyboard’s NZXT CAM software.
However, as discussed in our NuphyAir 75 review, its companion software only works on a Windows platform. This was disappointing to testers, and they also did not appreciate its lack of wireless functionality.
