A Bluetooth beanie lets you enjoy music or keep up with important calls without exposing your ears to old man winter. Many consider it an essential clothing apparel. A wireless Bluetooth beanie hat also works well for outdoor sports or other physical activities. The Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie is not included in the Best Bluetooth Beanie buyer’s guide, but nevertheless has a reasonable price point and upgraded Bluetooth support.

Why We Like It – Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie

The Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie is a warm beanie with a wireless stereo headphone and microphone inside. Good for winter activities or outdoor sports. A pair of knit gloves is included.

  • Bluetooth V5.0
  • Accommodation for ponytails
  • Reasonable price
  • Sizing runs small
  • Quality issues reported

Bluetooth beanies are popular wintertime attire and are also considered a better option than wearing a headcovering on top of headphones or earbuds while enjoying the slopes, shoveling snow, running, etc. Just like the Levin Bluetooth Beanie, the Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie is a double knit that keeps your head warm, with stereo Bluetooth speakers right next to your ears so only you hear music via wireless Bluetooth pairing to any BT device. A built-in microphone enables hands-free calling when paired with a smartphone. A control panel on one outer side of the beanie has 3 buttons for volume (+/-) and play. Rechargeable battery using a supplied micro-USB cable. Only one style and color offered by Moretek. If you’re looking for a variety of color and style choices then check out the Rotibox Rechargeable Bluetooth Fashional Speakerphone (although a bit more expensive). Sound quality of the Moretek is on par with other wireless BT beanies…aligning the speakers with your ears just right is key.

The Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie design is typical of most Bluetooth beanies. Although we give the edge to the SoundBot¨ SB210 Bluetooth Headphone Speakerphone as the best Bluetooth beanie overall, the Moretek offering is in the ballpark. Moretek says their beanie is unisex, but women dominate their product promo pics and the beanie has a hole at the top for a ponytail just like the Highever Ponytail Bluetooth Beanie designed specifically for long hair. See also the Pococina Upgraded 4.2 Bluetooth Beanie Hat. Customer reviews noted that their Moretek arrived with an “open seam,” which is possibly the ponytail hole mistaken for a flaw. Electronics in the Moretek wireless Bluetooth beanie hat also follow the design typical of other BT beanies. Moretek supports the Bluetooth V5.0 standard which does have greater range and enhanced BLE (BT Low Energy) features prolonging battery life. Moretek asserts 6-8 hours of music playing time and one hour charging time (your mileage may vary). The Moretek beanie is not waterproof, i.e., the electronics inside the beanie are not protected from water so make sure to use it accordingly.

BT beanies are winter outerwear subject to weather extremes and wearer abuse (depending upon physical activities), so the life of any BT beanie may be short. The Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie is mid-priced compared to other Bluetooth beanies, roughly the same price as the Redness Wireless BT Beanie that includes a neck warmer (Moretek includes gloves with their beanie) and support for BT V4.2 (still works fine with all BT devices). The SoundBot SB210 is still the champ and with a slightly lower price point.

Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie Wrap Up

The Moretek Wireless Bluetooth Beanie keeps ears warm while listening to audio content, with less pain and fatigue than is sometimes experienced wearing headsets or earbuds in snowy conditions.
