our Verdict

Product reviewers were quite impressed with their typing experience using the Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard. Experts from Rtings liked that it was very quiet during their typing tests, which they credited to its Rubber Dome tactile switches. They also praised its versatility, noting that it could be used with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and iPad OS devices.
The keyboard’s build quality was also lauded by reviewers from Office Watch, as they liked that it had an Office key and an Emoji key.. Regarding programmability, experts were glad that its F4-F7 keys were programmable, but they would’ve been happier if there were more. They didn’t have much to say about its 18.6ms latency, but they felt its low profile made it ergonomic enough for comfortable use.
However, its lack of backlighting may force avid gamers to switch to the HyperX Alloy core keyboard, as it offers RGB lighting – find out more about it in our HyperX Alloy Core RGB review. The keyboard also disappointed testers with its inability to pair with more than one device.

Overview
The Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard is an entry-level, wireless alternative that was first available in late 2019. It has good build quality, and like most of the most popular keyboards for gaming, some of its keys can be macro programmed. As its title suggests, it uses Bluetooth to pair with other devices.
Even though it doesn’t support multi-device pairing like some of the best wireless keyboards around, it creates a pretty solid and reliable connection. This keyboard is powered by two AAA batteries that keep it going for up to two years, and just like the Logitech K480 (which we’ve covered in our Logitech K480 Bluetooth Multidevice Keyboard review), it ships with rubber dome key switches that have a short travel distance.
