Merax 26” Electric Mountain Bike Build Quality And Design

Some riders might find this electric mountain bicycle just a bit heavy at 48.5 pounds when not using the pedal assist, but let’s face it, you don’t buy an eBike to pedal yourself. This bike has a cool mountain bike design and is built solid like a tank. It has an aluminum alloy frame and sturdy suspension fork for a smooth ride when on rough terrain. Merax does not make shoddy or cheap electric bikes.

How Powerful Is The Merax 26” Electric Mountain Bike?

This heavy-duty mountain bike is powered by a 350 watt electric motor with a removable 36V 8.8Ah Lithium Ion Battery. The acceleration is very impressive. You won’t lose much speed going over rough terrain either.

Charging Time

That 36v lithium battery charges in about 5 to 6 hours, which is the only downside to this powerful electric bike. I would have preferred a faster charge, but the trade-off is that when you are riding you have great battery power for off-road conditions and decent range on a single charge.

This 36v lithium battery 350w electric bike is easily the best electric mountain bike out there right now. If you like trekking on two wheels in nature, this will be a joy to ride. It performs amazingly on all terrain. The Shimano shifter has seven speeds and makes pedaling easy. I love that 7-speed transmission system.

The 26 inch electric mountain bike wheels are fat tires that are perfect and hug the terrain nicely. This bike has both E-Bike and PAS. If you are used to a standard bike, you’ll love being able to use the thumb throttle and let the motor do the work. The hub gear and drive are smooth and quiet. The lithiumion battery could be better, but it’s decent.

This is one of the more powerful electric bikes I’ve tested in a while.

Bottom Line and Merax 26” Electric Mountain Bike Wrap Up

This aluminum electric mountain bike is a joy for those searching for a powerful, easy to use electric mountain bike that has serious power, rear disc brakes, a light for night rides and a solid aluminum frame.
