The Magic Bullet Kitchen Express is a compact 2-in-1 blender combo that excels at single-serve recipes. While it has some durability concerns and limited capacity, its versatile functionality makes it a valuable space-saving option for small kitchens on a budget.

Overview

The Magic Bullet Kitchen Express is an entry-level personal blender that was first launched in 2020. Unlike the top blenders in the industry today, it runs on a 250 watt DC brushless motor that, along with its sharp four-bladed chopping assembly, can’t crush ice but does produce nut butter.

If you need a blender that produces bar-like crushed ice, take a look at our Ninja DUO Blender review. This blender also comes with two 15 oz pitchers and a food processor attachment, all of which are dishwasher-friendly and easy to wash, but they don’t support hot blending.

If you are looking for a better food processor, visit our Breville BFP800XL review. Unfortunately, the Magic Bullet Kitchen Express only has a single speed setting of 19300 RPM along with a pulse mode. And at 96.8 dB, it gets extremely loud while running.

our Verdict

The Magic Bullet Kitchen Express offers a good solution for anyone seeking a compact, affordable 2-in-1 blender and food processor, but with a flimsy plastic build quality, it may wear out quicker than other household blenders.

However, this appliance does well making single-serve smoothies and also features a food processor functionality for some additional versatility. It features a small, 250-watt motor, so it struggles to blend thick or fibrous ingredients.

The blender’s small capacity and affordable price point make it an excellent choice for students or anyone living in an apartment who needs to save space in the kitchen. Just be aware that noise testing revealed a loud 88.6 dB operating noise.

Despite its drawbacks, this blender is still a good choice for small kitchens on a budget.

As both feature a similarly powerful 250 watt DC brushless motor, the Magic Bullet Kitchen Express and the Magic Bullet Blender MBR-1101 both have similar performances in almost all aspects. However, the Magic Bullet Kitchen Express does come with a food-processor attachment for making better and more spreadable almond butter, but the Magic Bullet Blender MBR-1101 does not. The Magic Bullet Kitchen Express also comes with a food pusher and a masher accessory, unlike the Magic Bullet Kitchen Express.

Thanks to its much more powerful 900 watt DC brushless motor, the NutriBullet Pro 900 makes much smoother smoothies with fibrous ingredients compared to the 250 watt Magic Bullet Kitchen Express. The NutriBullet Pro blender also has a much better build quality than the Magic Bullet Kitchen Express. And thanks to the more powerful motor, the NutriBullet Pro 900 can produce snow-like crushed ice and frozen drinks, unlike the Magic Bullet Kitchen Express.

Despite featuring a tiny battery-powered motor, the BlendJet 2 supports ice crushing, but the 250 watt Magic Bullet Kitchen Express doesn’t. And although it is a portable blender, the BlendJet 2 has a better build quality compared to the Magic Bullet. In addition, the BlendJet 2 is also much easier to clean by hand, and unlike the Magic Bullet blender, its lid features a carrying strap to bring it on the go. However, the Magic Bullet blender comes with two pitchers, while the BlendJet 2 only has one jar.
