The Macwheel Wrangler comes in at a value-conscious price point while offering the best gravel e-bike features in line with higher-priced competitors, such as those who can also claim to be the best electric bike for the road. Capable of driving on any surface, including gravel, sand, and even snow. Qualifying as one of the best gravel e-bikes alongside the likes of the Giant Revolt E+ Pro.

Why We Like It – Macwheel Wrangler

The value-friendly Macwheel Wrangler electric bike has plenty of high-end features, including a durable aluminum frame, a battery that can get 62 miles on a single charge, and Tektro dual disc brakes that offer smooth stopping power on gravel and in bad weather conditions. But for a bike that is perfectly engineered for women, go to the Liv Thrive E-1 Pro review.

  • Puncture-resistant fat tires for all terrain types
  • Tektro dual disc brakes for stopping in all weather conditions
  • Battery can get 62 miles on single charge
  • Max speed 15.5 MPH

Durability & Build Quality

With an aluminum frame, this Macwheel electric mountain bike can meet the required demands of the high performance that the toughest trails require. It’s undeniable that the bike Wrangler that is is a quality bike on the same level as the Cannondale Synapse NEO SE, even though it’s rather slow compared to other electric mountain bikes. With that said, for a look at other mountain bikes, check out our review of the Engwe mountain bike.

Performance (Speed & Acceleration)

Equipped with the best cycling brand components, such as Shimano gears, Tektro Disc brakes, Kendra Tires, and a KMC chain, you can rest assured that the bike itself is built with quality parts. Those parts make for an epic riding experience. Largely thanks to 5 distinct gear modes, a 7-speed-gear transmission system, and a quality suspension fork. You can quickly choose any speed you need while keeping balance and riding within your range. Unlike most bikes, the Macwheel comes pre-assembled, allowing you to simply unbox and go. Read the Merax mountain bike review and check out a bike with a double aluminum rim to maximize its durability and performance.

Range & Battery

With an aluminum alloy frame and integrated battery pack, you can get a whopping 19-25 miles of range on electric mode and a serious 37 to 50 miles of range on electric assist mode. A full charge on the 36V battery tends to take around 6 to 8 hours, which can be accomplished overnight.

Safety features

Reviewers loved the safe and efficient Tektro dual disc brakes, which, similar to Yamaha Wabash, offer smooth stopping power in all weather conditions, and the removable lithium battery that can go up to 62 miles on a single charge, depending on your pedal assist level.

No meaningful warranty for the bike beyond the possibility to return based on the store you buy it from makes recommending the bike a tough choice as the very product may arrive broken, that said, please try to decide if the aluminum frame and bike meet your requirements quickly.

Macwheel Wrangler Wrap Up

The MacWheel Electric Bike is, in the big picture, a decent electric bike but is basically crippled by the max speed being 5mph slower than other bikes in its price range and at least one bike that is cheaper like the Specialized Turbo Creo SL.
