The Logitech K845 delighted testers with its build quality and customizable white backlighting. Their typing experience was also impressive, so they deemed it fit for office use. However, they didn’t appreciate how loud its keys got when typing and were disappointed that none of them were programmable. They also didn’t like that its cord was not detachable.

The Logitech K845 received considerable praise from product testers due to its suitability for office use. Reviewers from Rtings were impressed with its build quality and were also pleased that they could control and customize its white backlighting during their experiments. They could cycle through the keyboard’s different lighting effects and adjust how bright its backlight got. This is also the case with the Logitech MX Mechanical keyboard, which you can learn more about through our Logitech MX Mechanical review. The K845 also impressed testers from PC Mag as it offered a good typing experience, and they attributed this to its use of Cherry MX Blue keys.

However, those keys had a clicky response, which testers complained was a bit loud during their typing tests. They also didn’t like that none of its keys were programmable and that its power cable was not detachable.

Overview

First announced in late 2020, the Logitech K845 is an entry-level mechanical keyboard with 104 keys. Similar to a good chunk of the highest-ranked keyboards on the market, it has got great build quality courtesy of its aluminum plate, and since it is a full-size keyboard, it measures about 17.1 by 5 inches. As a wired keyboard, it doesn’t have any wireless capabilities, but as far as ergonomics go, it allows for one incline setting. Its backlight is white to keep keys visible in a low light setting, and this is a feature it also has in common with the Logitech MX Mini (check out our Logitech MX Keys Mini review to learn more about it).

With a latency of 18.9ms, owners shouldn’t have any issues unless they are gaming competitively, and even though it ships with Cherry MX Blue switches as default, owners will still have the chance to switch them to MX Brown or MX Red switches depending on their preferences.
