Overview

First released back in late 2022, the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED is a flagship-grade wireless gaming mouse that boasts an ambidextrous shape for palm grippers. Similar to some of the highly-ranked computer mouse options in its range, this model supports wireless connectivity through a 2.4 GHz receiver but doesn’t have any built-in storage space for it. And just like many of the best-ranked gaming mouse models out on the market today, it sports a 25600 DPI mouse sensor (optical). But if you prefer wired mice, check out our Logitech G502 HERO review.

The Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED gaming mouse boasts an overall wireless latency of just 11 ms. If you need even lower latency, visit our Logitech G502 X Wired review. The LIGHTSPEED has customizable RGB lighting along with a 4-way scroll wheel that supports horizontal scroll, both of which you can customize using the Logitech G Hub software.

What the brand doesn’t always tell you…

our Verdict

The Logitech G502 X Lightspeed wireless mouse is part of the ever-popular G502 lineup, with a premium build quality, ergonomic design, and stellar performance. Unfortunately, it’s too large for small hands, but it provides 13 programmable buttons and easy-to-use customization software. You’ll also get additional comfort features like a thumb rest and a rubberized scroll wheel. This mouse remains comfortable, even across extended gaming sessions.

Like other G502 models, you’ll get a powerful level of performance from the G502 X Lightspeed. With a max DPI of 25,600, a 1,000Hz polling rate, and an impressive 11 ms of click latency during testing, this mouse is best suited for gamers. However, it still performs well for office use, though its premium price point may turn productivity users away.

Unlike the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT wireless gaming mouse, the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED sports a 4-way scroll wheel with tilt functionality for horizontal scroll. And despite both coming with built-in rechargeable batteries, the Logitech G502 X LIGHTSPEED delivers a 120-hour battery life on a single charge, whereas the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT has a significantly shorter battery life of around 90 hours. On the other hand, at just 61.1 grams, the G PRO model is a much more lightweight mouse.
