The Logitech K860 had testers delighted with how well its Bluetooth connectivity as well as its ergonomic features. They also liked that the K860 had multi-platform compatibility but felt quite disappointed that it did not have any backlighting and that its keys were not programmable. They were also not impressed with its high latency.

Expert reviewers hailed the Logitech ERGO K860 for its exceptional ergonomics and its fast Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Suppose you’ve gone through our Logitech Combo Touch review or our Logitech Folio touch review. In that case, you’ll realize that Bluetooth connectivity is not as common for detachable keyboards. This is partly why testers from Rtings highlighted the K860’s Bluetooth capabilities during their tests. They were glad that it could pair with up to three devices and that the K860 has multi-platform compatibility. During their experiments, they found its typing noise to be quite low and that they did not have to fuss with wires since it is wireless.

However, the testing team at PC Mag was not pleased with the K860’s lack of backlighting and felt that the keyboard took up a lot of desk space due to its large size (it measures 17.9 inches by 9.3 inches). They also decried its high 26.4ms latency and its inability to map keys to different functions.

Overview

Launched in early 2020, the Logitech Ergo K860 is a mid-tier wireless split keyboard that comes with a distinctive up-curve that is rare to find even among the best keyboards on the market. The keyboard is of good build quality and comes with a wrist rest that feels quite comfortable to use while also preventing muscle strain. The K860 also features two incline settings for owners to choose from and has a total of 109 keys.

Its curved keyboard design may take just as much time to get used to as the split keyboard on the Kinesis Freestyle Pro (which we covered in our Kinesis Freestyle Pro review), but its wireless connectivity is excellent since users will be able to connect it to a computer through either its USB receiver or Bluetooth.
