If you’re looking for one of the best LCD TVs to deliver vibrant Dolby Vision HDR images, the
LG C9 is a brilliant choice. OLED TVs have excellent tone mapping and the black levels are rich. The OLED panel illuminates each pixel to ensure vibrant colors and the best picture possible. The C9 OLED TV can compete with anything on our best smart tv list.

Why We Like It – LG C9

The LG C9 OLED65C9PUA is one of the best TVs in its class. It has a huge screen size and delivers amazing HDR performance thanks to the OLED technology. Apart from the superior image quality, it also supports smart features like Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.

  • Amazing picture quality
  • Fantastic sound quality
  • Game mode
  • Very Expensive
  • Reflective screen
  • Can theoretically have some image retention

The LG C9 OLED TV has amazing performance. The 65-inch screen boasts 4K HDR content that’s enhanced by the dynamic tone mapping. The TV features a quick response time of only 1 m/s and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The C9 OLED also had higher peak brightness than the best LCD TVs. It comes with both Apple Alexa and Google Assistant. You can bring the cinema home with Dolby Atmos functionality and AI sound. This TV has no Apple Fire capability like the Toshiba 43LF711U20.

The LG C9 uses the OLED technology from last year, but still displays some of the best HDR content. OLED TVs are much slimmer than even the best LCD TVs. The top of the screen measures just 0.1-inches thick before it meets the base and speaker housing. This LG OLED comes with a wide range of connectivity options including three USB ports, four HDMI ports, and eARC sound port, optical sound output, an ethernet port, and an RC connector. Unfortunately, this TV review has found the LG C9 to lack the Roku functionality of the TCL 32S327.

With this OLED TV LG hit it out of the park. It’s the best TV in its class and costs much less than TVs with similar performance. The graphics performance is good enough for gamers, and it also features AI sound. The thing AI sound does is use the remote control to detect objects in the room and adjust itself accordingly. This TV has amazing build-quality and the ultra-thin screen is a marvel. If you need something more affordable, the Insignia NS-50D50DF710NA19 is worth a look.

LG C9 Wrap Up

The LG C9 has one of the best ratings in our OLED TV review. It’s solid in every area from picture to sound, and even build-quality. The screen may be a bit too reflective for some viewers although the viewing angles are still wide. Overall, this is one of the best TVs you can buy.
