LaCie Culbuto Is A “Roly-poly Toy” Inspired Flash Drive That Costs $49.99

Back at the Consumers Electronics Show 2014 in January, LaCie unveiled another innovative USB 3.0 key dubbed as LaCie Culbuto, designed by a French designer Constance Guisse, that looks more like a roly-poly toy which straightens itself up when pushed over.

It doesn’t only act as a USB drive, but can also be used as a decorative toy that can also hold paper or small cards, thanks to a small slit on the top end. Designed by a French designer Constance Guisset, LaCie Culbuto comes with USB 3.0 connectivity that makes sure that you don’t have to go through slow transfer rates. On the bottom of the USB.

As far as the design is concerned, the company is popular for crafting visually appealing products and Culbuto is no different in that arena either. The USB drive comes with a solid metal base with a silicone rubber stem on top of it that ends with a USB 3.0 connector. The USB 3.0 plug is covered with a cap which also acts as a paper clip. The rubber is of soft touch quality which feels pleasant when held.

The USB drive also comes with LaCie’s Private–Public software that protects the confidential data from unauthorized access, in case of theft or loss. In addition, it also features LaCie Backup Assistant for automatic backup.
