The KitchenAid KSB1570SL 5 is a dishwasher safe, multi speed blender that has stainless steel blades and comes with a BPA free pitcher. Most of the best countertop blenders can crush ice with a single pulse mode. This KitchenAid classic Intelli speed blender can do just that.

Why We Like It – KitchenAid KSB1570SL 5

The KitchenAid KSB1570SL 5 automatically senses contents to stir, chop, mix, purée, or liquefy. The soft start feature starts the motor at a slow, then increases the speed setting to blend.

Pros
  • Good settings
  • Slow start feature
  • Good value
Cons
  • Often sold out

Power

This powerful device, color silver, can fill the blender jar in moments, with just the push of a button. You’re getting 120 v for these stainless steel blades, which is plenty to make this an excellent vegetable chopper, much like the Cuisinart Hurricane Pro.

Speed

With certain levels of speed, this device automatically senses contents to stir, chop, mix, purée, or liquefy, much like with the Vitamix 7500 Professional Grade Blender. The soft start feature starts the motor at a slower speed to attract the food directly towards the blade and then quickly increases the speed setting to blend.

Durability

The base is made of zinc and the jar a “scratch and stain resistant” hard plastic which is dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. And the blender, as a whole, like the Vitamix Professional Series 750, feels pretty durable and shouldn’t give you any issues.

Versatility/attachments

So many options with a multi speed blender, like this one. You can chop, stir, mix, purée just about any concoction you could think of especially smoothies and shakes. As for attachments, what you see is what you get…blender and pitcher.

Value

Pretty standard value for a blender of this kind. It does come with a free return policy and there is no charge for shipping. In most cases you can add a warranty for a few extra bucks.
