The Juiced RipCurrent S falls beautifully between the best electric hunting bikes and the best off-road electric bikes, thanks to its thick, beefy tires and a 120-mile range. After all, going after the game tends to take you off-road, so you’ll need those tires for and a 750-watt motor to provide the power. When you use it, you will question whether it is the best electric bike or not.
The Juiced RipCurrent S does it all for an affordable price: thick tires for tearing up off-road scenery, a rear rack for commuting, and can travel 120 miles on a single battery charge. But for light off-road and dirt trails, read the Juiced city scrambler review.
The Juiced RipCurrent S looks like it’d be heavy—because it is. Unlike the Lapierre E-Sensium 300, it weighs 80 lbs. It’s a beefy machine, but tough and strong. It’s made of 6061 aluminum alloy, fitted with decent Wellgo aluminum alloy pedals with fixed pins, and mid-rise handlebars (760mm length) made of the same material. Its max load is 275.
The Juiced RipCurrent S accomplishes two important features: torque and speed. The 750W rear hub motor can reach 28mph; however, the throttle is limited to 20mph, as does the NAKTO 26. Any higher, and it’d be illegal on roads. If you want a low-powered motor of 250W, read the Kemanner electric mountain bike review.
Chasing after game could take you miles in several directions, which means having a long battery life is crucial. Luckily, the Juiced RipCurrent S is capable of traveling 120 miles on a single charge, nearly double the IZIP E3 Peak Plus. And with varying pedal assist levels, you can eke out a few more, which you can also do with the Jetson Adventure electric bike.
The Juiced RipCurrent S is armed to the teeth with safety features. You have a bright, 1050-lumen front headlight; fenders that cover a large portion of the wheels, so debris isn’t smacking you in the face; Tektro hydraulic brakes with 180 rotors and dual-piston calipers. Also, braking activates motor inhibitors, shutting off the motor, so you don’t lurch forward.
Juiced Bikes RipCurrent S Fat Tire E-Bikes are the real deal and packed with so much value, performance, durability, and safety features. You’d think, after combing through this bike review, that the bike would be expensive. But it isn’t compared to the HPC Revolution AT, it’s very affordable at $2499.
The Juiced RipCurrent S is the full package; nothing was left off this model. It performs extremely well in off-road terrain, and has the battery life to traverse fields when hunting. Its max load is 25 lbs shorter than we’d like, but still carries plenty. Who can argue with a battery that lasts for 120 miles while going 20mph?
