our Verdict

The HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse is a fantastic option for gamers looking for a well-built gaming mouse that features a lot of programmable buttons on a strict budget.
It features a high-quality RGB rubber notched 24-step scroll wheel that has L/R buttons. And if you are on a Windows PC, you can use the HyperX NGenuity customization software to reprogram its 11 different buttons and the RGB LEDs.
The Raid also has a 16000 DPI sensor, adjustable in 50 increments with a low lift-off distance. Measured at 98 grams, the Raid is fairly lightweight for an MMO mouse.
Tested at 23.5 ms, it has a high latency with slower response. And it features an ergonomically comfortable design for all right-handed users alongside PTFE feet for smooth gliding.

Overview
First released back in early 2020, the HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse is a high-end product that boasts rubber panels to offer grip control along with ergonomics to right-handed gamers.
Just like some of the best mouse models out there today, this mouse features a 16000 DPI high quality sensor that is adjustable using the HyperX NGenuity customization software. And similar to the best gaming mouse options in its range, this model sports customizable RGB lighting and weighs just 98 grams.
However, if you need an even lighter weight wireless gaming mouse, then make sure to take a look at our HyperX Pulsefire Haste Wireless review. The Pulsefire Raid Mouse features 11 different primary mouse buttons, including a sniper button. And its 4D tilting scroll wheel supports vertical scrolling.
In addition, the Raid comes with a 5.9 feet cable for wired USB connectivity with a 23.5 ms latency.

Market Context | – | While the HyperX Pulsefire Haste features an ambidextrous shape, the HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse has a comfortable right-handed shape instead. And the HyperX Pulsefire Haste comes with a longer and better (6.2 feet) paracord-like cable compared to the HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse’s 5.9 feet braided USB cable. Moreover, at just 60 grams, the Haste has a significantly lower overall body weight than the 98-gram Raid. Visit our HyperX Pulsefire Haste review to learn more about the compared model. | Unlike the Logitech G403 HERO Gaming Mouse, the HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse features a 4D scroll wheel with tilt functionality for vertical scrolling. On the other hand, the HyperX NGenuity software is only available for Windows users, whereas the Logitech G Hub customization software is fully compatible with both Windows and macOS devices. And the Logitech G403 HERO Gaming Mouse features a significantly better HERO 25K 25600 DPI sensor compared to the Raid’s 16000 DPI optical sensor. | The Razer DeathAdder V2 Gaming Mouse comes with a significantly better 20000 DPI Focus Plus optical sensor when put against the HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse’s 16000 DPI optical sensor. And the Razer DeathAdder V2 Gaming Mouse features a much longer fixed braided cable (7.1 feet) compared to the HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse’s 5.9 feet-long USB cable. The Razer DeathAdder V2 Mouse also has a whopping 18 mouse buttons, while the HyperX Raid only has 11 programmable buttons. | The HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro Gaming Mouse is the predecessor to the newer HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse, and they both feature a very similar looking comfortable shape for right-handed users. But the newer version does have a few upsides. For example, the newer HyperX Pulsefire Raid Gaming Mouse features 11 different mouse buttons with a split-button design, whereas the older HyperX Pulsefire FPS Pro Gaming Mouse only has six. And the Raid Mouse sports a 4D scroll wheel, which the Pro lacks. |
