What the brand doesn’t always tell you…

our Verdict

The ambidextrous HyperX Pulsefire Core Wired has a sturdy build and delivers a satisfying gaming experience with its great click sound and smooth scroll wheel.

It glides effortlessly on a mouse pad, and its software allows users to customize each of its 7 inputs. However, its light 91.5g weight can make it feel flimsy, and its small size may be uncomfortable for those with larger hands.

Its CPI setting can be adjusted by increments of 100, but if you have small hands and are seeking an affordable gaming mouse, the HyperX Pulsefire Core Wired is a great choice.

Unfortunately, the Pulsefire Core also has a high tested click latency of 13.6 ms for a gaming mouse, so it’s not the most responsive option.
