Hennessey Performance is known in the automotive world for unleashing the beast in many vehicles, and they’ve recently upgraded the power of the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. The new HPE700 Supercharged upgrade by the tuner adds 717 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 632 lb-ft of torque at 4,400. The result? The Mustang GT will now sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and do a quarter mile in 11.2 seconds at 131 mph. Ultimately, the upgrade will take the GT to an extraordinary level that will rival some of the fastest European sports cars around.
To provide it will all that power, Hennessey adds a Roots-type high-helix supercharger that boasts 7.25 psi of boost, while a high-flow throttle body and stainless-steel exhaust system helps the V8 breathe more deeply. There’s also upgraded injectors and a fuel pump that feeds the V8, under command of the tuner’s engine management calibration. Only 500 units will be available for the 2015 Mustang model year, with pricing starting at $59,500.
