Finding the best blender for frozen drinks is not that much of a challenging task. However, finding something that can also double as the best blender food processor, or something that can also be considered the best blender for smoothies can be pretty difficult indeed. The Wave Crusher Blender is Hamilton Beach’s attempt to capture this area of the market for people looking for a good all-in-one blender.

Why We Like It – Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender

If you need a cheap blender that can crush ice effortlessly, the Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender is the one to go for. It is very much powerful, comes with a lot of different functionalities, and works great under a lot of different scenarios.

  • 14 different blending functions with six auto modes
  • Dishwasher-safe 40-ounce glass jar
  • 700 Watt peak power motor
  • Build quality isn’t that great

Similar to the Hamilton Beach Power Elite blender, the Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender comes with a beefy motor with 700 Watts of peak power. And it works great, allowing the blender to make icy drinks within a few minutes. However, if you need even more power, spending more on the Cleanblend blender would be a wise decision. If you want a blender with double the power, you’ll want to check out the Homgeek Professional blender.

But, too much power won’t make it the quietest blender, which is a problem if you’re worried about noise levels.

You get a total of 14 different modes with this blender, six of which are pre-programmed automatic modes. It even beats the costlier Ninja Smart Screen Blender in terms of flexibility that way. And the “CRUSH ICE” button also allows you to control the pulse modes easily. If your blending requirements mostly revolve around having to crush ice, it’s easily the perfect blender to go for.

But, keep in mind that it’s always a good idea to comparison shop, and you can start with our article on Black & Decker vs Hamilton Beach blenders.

The cutbacks caused by the cheap price are more apparent in this section than in any other area. The patented Ice Sabre blades are made out of stainless steel and are very much durable, to say the least. But that’s pretty much where our praise for durability ends. A lot of customers have complained about parts falling/breaking off over the years in the reviews. So, if you need something that can last for years, the Vitamix 7500 Professional Grade blender would be a much better choice.

Versatility & Attachments

This blender comes with a 40-ounce heat-resistant glass jar. On top of coming with a self-cleaning function, the jar is also dishwasher safe. And the lid has a pouring spout for mess-free pouring. The glass jar is very durable too. It won’t break quite easily, even if you crush ice in it regularly. Glass also makes for easier cleaning, and for more similar options, check out our guide for the best easy clean blender.

The Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender can be bought for under $35 during sales. You can’t really beat an offer like that. And even at MSRP, it’s still quite enticing. Hamilton’s patented wave action system works great here, and that is what sets it apart from the other cheap blenders.

Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender Wrap Up

Well, looking at everything above, the Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Blender seems to be an excellent budget option. If you just want something that works for cheap, this will be an excellent addition to your kitchen.
