The Hamilton Beach Commercial Blender is pretty old at this point. Yet, it can be considered a fine blender for everyday use. But still, it is considered to be one of the best commercial blenders to date, and for good reasons. It provides excellent performance along with many surprisingly modern functionalities.
Most of the commercial blenders available at or above $600 don’t really deserve their high price tag. But the Hamilton Beach Commercial Blender is not like the others. Use it as a bar blender or for a restaurant kitchen; it works extremely well with almost everything you throw at it. For two more models by this brand, check out our Hamilton Beach 58149 blender & chopper review or read our Hamilton Beach personal blender review. Alternatively, you can check out some great personal blenders if you need a smaller option.
This Hamilton Beach sports a three HP motor inside the base. It’s even higher than the much more costly model you will find in our Vitamix A3500 review. And the wave action system complements this much power exceptionally well, just like in our Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher blender review. And almost none of that power goes to waste. If you like powerful blenders, you’ll also want to see our Cleanblend Commercial blender review or our Tribest Dynapro Vacuum Blender review.
You get to do a lot of fine-tuning with the given speed controls. There is both a regulating dial and button control for controlling the speeds. And you get pulse control too. But, unfortunately, there are no automatic pre-programmed modes. In this range, none of the blenders and other related products are meant for beginners. For that, you need to downgrade to the Ninja Mega Kitchen System BL770 blender.
Other than the mounting base, the durability overall is very good. The stainless steel blades are very durably made and can chomp through pretty much everything. And they are specially designed to force the contents of the jar towards it, rather than towards the wall, producing smooth mixtures in the process. However, every time you put this blender on a higher speed setting, the 64 oz commercial container seems to wobble on a lot of units. And that is a pretty big design flaw for an expensive blender.
We already talked about how versatile the speed controls are. But, you don’t really get many accessories once you purchase this blender. It is supposed to be a complete package, but we can’t help but feel that a few things are missing here. Even the much cheaper NutriBullet 1200 Watt blender comes included with different-sized containers for various purposes.
If you are a professional, the Hamilton Beach Commercial Blender would be an expensive, but still value-for-money purchase for you, even at $600. On top of that, it is sold and shipped directly by Amazon. So you can enjoy benefits like free shipping, excellent support, etc. And Hamilton Beach provides two years’ worth of ExpressCare warranty with it.
Overall the Hamilton Beach Commercial Blender is a pretty good blender for bars and restaurant owners alike. It delivers excellent performance at a good price point, unlike many other professional-grade heavy-duty blenders.
