Glorious Model I Review

Unlike the GLORIOUS Model D Wireless, which works through 2.4 GHz connectivity using a USB dongle, the Glorious Model I is a wired-only mouse. But despite the GLORIOUS Model D Wireless featuring a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, at around 69 grams, it has about the same body weight as the Glorious Model I, which means the honeycomb structure of the wireless model is slightly lighter weight. However, the Model I does have nine programmable buttons, while the wireless unit only has six.

While the Glorious Model I features a fixed and light weight braided cable (78 inches), the Logitech G502 HERO wired gaming mouse comes with a similarly long standard rubberized USB cable that causes drag. And at just 69 grams, the Glorious Model I is a significantly lighter mouse compared to the 120-gram Logitech G502 HERO. But the Logitech G502 does have a much better overall build quality than the Model I. And the G502 has a 4D scroll wheel with a free scrolling mode, unlike the Glorious Model I unit.

While the Glorious Model I is strictly a wired mouse, the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro supports both wireless (Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz USB receiver) and wired connectivity. And the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro wireless gaming mouse features a multi-functional scroll wheel that has a free scrolling mode as well as a tilt feature for horizontal scrolling, both of which the Glorious Model I wired gaming mouse lacks. But the Model I does achieve a feather-light weight of just 69 grams, whereas the Basilisk V3 weighs around 112 grams.
