This is Fluance’s newest Bluetooth speaker, the Fi70. And yes, it’s big, bold, and hopefully loud. Well, not just loud. But loud and clear. And it should be considering its specs. Much like some of our list of best Bluetooth speakers
Powering this Bluetooth speaker, which stands at 36-inch tall and weighs over 80lbs, is a 280-watt amp that is built directly into the speaker itself. All that juice powers two 8-inch woofers, 5-inch woven fiber glass midrange drivers, and 1-inch neodymium tweeters. Still not impressed? How about a bass frequency that is said to reach as low as 30hz, which is below a human’s range of hearing (but perhaps not feeling).
But the Fi70 isn’t all about drivers, power or what some might call an unorthodox look. For those that appreciate sound quality, and have a compatible source device, the Fi70 is AptX compatible. It also boasts optical inputs for your best LED TV, an AUX 3.5mm input for non-bluetooth devices, and an FM/AM radio.
Controlling the Fi70 is simple as touching the top of the speaker, which includes a set of touch like buttons. That is of course provided you’re not administering every thing from your phone or tablet directly. That in mind, there is a USB port for charging mobile devices.
