Performance

The Fitbit Charge 4 has several new features and has improved tracking when compared to previous trackers from the company. It offers accurate step tracking thanks to in-built GPS, and can also provide 24/7 heart rate monitoring. This fitness band comes with sleep tracking with sleep score, and has different heart rate zones with detailed active zone minutes for certain workouts. The fitness band supports more than 20 exercises and also has a Spotify mode for controlling the app on the phone. Want something different? Try the Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen).

Design

The Charge 4 has a typical fitness band esque design that is simple and lightweight. The bands are easy to replace and you can get a granite band with the Special Edition. It features a monochrome display that offers basic activity tracking information and tells time/date. It is a simple screen that supports touch input, and works fine in the sun. The band also gets a physical button on the left side. Don’t want a fitness tracker? Why not get the Apple AirPods Pro with Wireless Charging Case instead.

Value

Although the Fitbit doesn’t have a colour screen and other features that are found in smartwatches such as the Apple Watch, it is still good value. Fitbit Charge 4 offers in-built GPS, good activity tracking, an accurate heart rate monitor, and also has a sleep mode. The monochrome screen isn’t great, but it does work well. The tracker doesn’t do blood oxygen levels though, but you can connect to the Spotify app and control it. Also check out the Suunto Core All Black Military Men’s Outdoor Sports Watch.

Fitbit Charge 4 Wrap Up

The Fitbit Charge 4 is a good fitness tracker with features such as in-built GPS, a heart rate monitor, and sleep tracking. It can offer a battery life of up to 7 days with the GPS turned off, and is also water resistant up to 50M. The Fitbit app is also packed with options, and gives you access to Fitbit Pay. Although the screen is mediocre and lacking, it is still a good buy.
