Evaporative Mist Indoor Fan Cools Like AC

The best fan is one that feels like AC. Hot, sticky, and humid just about sums up the East coast of the United States during the summer months.  It’s an uncomfortable climate that just about permanently relegates you to an AC only world, unless of course you’re looking to shed some water weight on the quick.  Florida, or the better part of the south is probably one of the worst offenders and hence why many of their upscale restaurants sport misting fans as seen on the sidelines of many an NFL game.  Now you too can have your own NFL experience, albeit on the sidelines with the the Evaporative Mist Indoor Fan from Hammacher. Have a look on our best tower fan list too!

This fan uses ultrasonic vibrations that create microdroplets of mist that cool your skin’s surface despite feeling dry to the touch.  According to Hammacher it can mist an area up to 1600 cubic feet, and its louver rotates 360 degrees too keep drum circles or parties cool no matter where they stand.  The tank – yes it needs water – measures 1.5 liters in capaciity equating to up to 9.5 hours of misting to your heart’s content.  Other features include casters for quick mobility from one sweaty room to the next, 3 speeds, and the ability to turn off the mister and use it as a traditional fan.  Included in the $180 price tag is an LED remote control with a built-in timer.
