While Equator Appliances may not be a very well-known manufacturer, it’s one of the many that actually provide appliances that have a sharp focus on being environmentally friendly. Established in 1991, the company has been in the consumer electronics business now for close to 30 years, and this has allowed the company to develop a sharp understanding of what consumers look for and want.

The Equator CMO 800T countertop microwave for example is one of the best microwaves that would make a great fit for anyone who would prefer to get a microwave that’s also got oven capabilities, making it one of the few that you ought to look into especially if you’re looking for the best convection microwave oven.

Why We Like It – Equator 0.8 Microwave Convection Oven

The Equator 0.8 Microwave Convection Oven is pretty great if you’d rather have your countertop free of too many appliances, or you’d just prefer to have a combined function microwave that allows you to use it for a wide range of applications.

  • Programmable sensor auto function
  • Memory function that allows for programming of a cooking function
  • Child lock to prevent unauthorized use
  • No mute button

Power & Performance

You’ll get up to 800 Watts in power output from this stainless steel Equator microwave, and while this might not match up to the 1600 Watt Samsung MC12J8035CT countertop microwave oven, it does rely on inverter technology to offer probably the best kind of all-round even cooking. You can also opt to use its combo function for it to alternate between microwave and oven cooking every 30 seconds, and this gets you the best cooking results in a shorter amount of time.

With a stainless steel body, the Equator microwave will easily be able to withstand years of use without any denting. The stainless steel body is also easy to clean, and inside, you’ll find a glass turntable that you can throw into the dishwasher to get cleaned up. The microwave also features a 1 year warranty that covers all its parts, but even with that, you should expect it to hold up pretty well throughout the first year of use.

Ease of Use

The 0.8 cu ft capacity of this Equator compact combo microwave oven is perfect for small families, or even a single person living by themselves. The capacity of the microwave is also such that it’s compact enough for you to have it as a free-standing microwave on your countertop, or get a trim kit and have it installed into your kitchen wall or cabinetry. The microwave’s control panel is also not as populated by buttons, giving it a sleek, minimalist look, but if you’re not a fan of its stainless steel color, maybe the black stainless steel color of the Farberware microwave might appeal to you more.

Added Features & Versatility

Modern-day features such as sensor cooking, auto weight defrost and a kitchen timer function are all included with this Equator convection oven, and with these kinds of features, cooking becomes a little more convenient. The microwave also allows you to program and save a cooking function, and this is key especially if you tend to prepare and eat the same kind of meal many times a week. To prevent any unauthorized use, or keep your kids from messing up the microwave, there’s a safety lock that you can engage and deactivate its control panel. You won’t be able to shut off the beeping sound of the microwave, but you will be able to order the trim kit option for the microwave if you’d want to install it in your kitchen – something you won’t be able to do with the BLACK+DECKER EM720CB7 Microwave Oven. Also, the Dacor DMW2420S microwave’s got sensor cooking to automatically decide on which power settings to apply, and up to 11 power levels to choose from. With that said, you’ll certainly get more features with this microwave than the Cuisinart CMW-200 unit.

Equator 0.8 Microwave Convection Oven Wrap Up

If you happen to come across any issues with this microwave, your best bet is to contact customer service. The team will always be ready, willing and on standby to help rectify any problems, and because the Equator brand of appliances isn’t as big of a brand as some of the other world-renowned manufacturers, their response will be swift and effective to help you get the best out of your microwave.
