While looking for the best printer for art prints, you must’ve come across at least one photo printer that touts a high yield rate. But the sad reality is that a photo printer’s print resolution is usually very high. So they are not that great in terms of ink efficiency. The Epson WF7710 Workforce Wireless Printer is very fast for a photo printer. For standard prints, the print speed is around 18 ISO PPM (Black ink) and 10 ISO PPM (Color). It is probably the best large format printer when it comes to print speed at a lower price point. When you switch to two-sided printing mode (duplex printing), you can get speeds around 8.7 ISO PPM (Black ink) and 6 ISO PPM (Color). These speeds are more than enough for a small-scale home office, but if you want slightly more speed, the Epson Stylus C88+ can print 23ppm monochrome and 14ppm color.
It is a photo printer, so the print quality (print scan copy) is going to be pretty good, just like the Selphy CP1300. And this printer uses Epson’s Durabrite Ultra ink cartridge, which is miles better than dye-based colors. And it doesn’t even guzzle ink per page, something we’re going to talk more in detail about in the next section. But, if you are not satisfied with the print resolution, just go for the Canon PIXMA G5020 MegaTank Inkjet Printer. On the other hand, if you’re more into photography, you’ll want the top home photo printer instead.
This one printer can save you thousands of dollars that you’d have to spend on ink cartridges. For a photo printer, it’s very ink efficient and doesn’t waste much ink per page. If you print text documents a lot, you just need to keep a black ink cartridge handy at all times. You can easily replace the color ink cartridge that runs out. Furthermore, if you know how to keep printer ink from drying out with simple tips and tricks, you’ll save on cartridge replacements.
The Brother INKvestment MFC-J985DW is a similarly efficient inkjet printer. But, if you’d prefer another alternative, read our Epson WF-3720 WorkForce wireless printer review.
The WorkForce Pro WF 7710 comes with a 250-sheet paper tray. So it does have the capability of handling medium to high workloads. Other than the 4.3-inch color touchscreen, it also has NFC for easy pairing. If you don’t care about NFC and want to save money, the Brother MFC-J805 has a similar feature set.
All in all, the WorkForce Pro WF 7710 actually turns out to be a pretty good value for money, even though it costs $500. With notably great ink quality support and wide format printing, this printer perfectly balances professional workloads and average home usage. But, if you can shell out more for more quality and heavier print loads, then you’ll want to read our Epson EcoTank review.
The Epson WF7710 Workforce Wireless Printer is excellent for users who don’t want to spend a lot of money on replacing ink cartridges. And wireless printing adds a whole lair of possibilities on top of that.
