What electric bike falls under the umbrella of the best electric mountain bike and the best electric bike under $1500? The eAhora AM100’s performance and build fall comfortably between both. Not only can it potentially travel up to 80 miles on a single charge, but it’s also doing so at 28 mph. It’s where speed meets distance, and magic happens.

Why We Like It – eAhora AM100

Fitted with a full suspension system and a top speed of 28 mph, the eAhora AM100 can tackle sketchy terrain beautifully, without bucking the rider or falling apart. For a bike that covers 20 mph and is ideal for running errands, look at the E-Joe Anggun electric comfort bike review.

  • 500W brushless motor; 28mph max speed
  • Hydraulic disc brakes
  • Full suspension system
  • Shape of saddle may be an issue for some

Durability & Build Quality

Despite being made of aluminum alloy—lightweight, durable, strong—the eAhora AM100 has no problem pulling 330 lbs max load. The full air suspension system full aluminum alloy frame combo is particularly nice, as it keeps the frame from taking on the full brunt of bumps and grooves. Handmade leather handlebars and seating are fashionable but not practical. It isn’t texture, and the seating’s shape isn’t for everyone.

Performance (Speed & Acceleration)

The beautiful union between the powerful motor (500W) and Shimano 9-speed gear makes the eAhora Mountain Bikes force some serious power and control. Its performance is different than reliable hub motor bike models, but it’s still worthy of speed.

Topping speeds of 28 mph outpace the NCM Prague Electric Mountain Bike by eight miles. You might be looking for a bike with cruise control. To open that portal of choices, start with the eAhora x7 review.

Range & Battery

Battery life is simply impressive. If you use electric mode, you’ll get 50 miles at most. But if you take advantage of the E PAS’ recharge system, you could potentially eke out 80 miles on a single charge. This is quite a bit more than the 37 miles you can get with the DJ mountain bike, but what they lack in range, they make up for by being one of the safest e-bikes you can buy.

Safety Features

The rear suspension front suspension fork combo system not only helps absorb bumps but it also prevents the rider from bucking. The cherry on top is the hydraulic brakes: 180mm wear-resistant rotors in the front and back. The headlamp could be brighter, as could the rear light, though the Cyclamatic Power Plus CX1 Electric Mountain Bike doesn’t even have that. The removable lithium battery e-bike can prevent theft, which is a nice touch. And if you need a bike with adjustable reach to make it safer for yourself or others, check out our Bulls E-bikes review.

The eAhora AM100 makes every argument to drop $1400 on it: it has the speed, the distance, and it’s fitted with oodles of features, both on-board and safety-focused. Don’t let the saddle turn you away; it can be replaced with something to your liking. This is the kind of bike professionals want and beginners strive to ride. On a budget, the ANCHEER Folding Electric Mountain Bike is a decent option, mostly for beginners. And if you want another budget option but with a larger motor, check out the ECOTRIC fat tire 500W bike.

eAhora AM100 Wrap Up

The eAhora AM100 is a high-performance beast in just about every aspect, from speed to distance. It can travel 80 miles in one direction, on various terrain, while going 28mph. A full suspension system absorbs bumps and keeps the rider in control, while hydraulic brakes keep you safe. The shape of the saddle is easily replaceable.
