Whether you are shopping for your first air purifier or have had several, you may be unsure about those designed by Dyson. It’s a question we hear a lot because the best air purifiers look so unlike what we are used to. Do Dyson air purifiers like the Dyson Pure Cool Link TP04 work? I recently tested it hands-on to find out.
The Dyson Pure Cool Link TP04 has a great design, smart features, and fairly lightweight. You are getting two products in one with this model since it is an air purifier and a Dyson fan. Add in one of the best patio heaters on the market, and you’ll be covered. On paper, there’s a lot to love here, so I had to take a look. After living with it for a full month, my impressions are below.
Dyson first made its name in the vacuum market, but since then has branched out to other home appliances like air purifiers. The Dyson Pure Cool is a perfect example of what the company does right.
Dyson is known for great design work so it’s no surprise that the Dyson Pure Cool TP04 has a simple and elegant style. It’s unique among other air purifiers and looks good in the home. When it comes to build quality, you’ll be happy to know that Dyson has put the same effort in here. This Dyson Pure Cool air purifier is built solid and made to last.
I recommend using this in rooms no larger than 200 sq ft to maximize air filtration potential. It will clean any sized room, but the bigger the room, the longer it will take to cycle through the air. The Pure Cool Link uses Dyson’s two-stage filter, passing air through the glass HEPA filter, and then through an activated carbon filter for odor control. There are ten-speed settings that let you control how fast it cleans the air in your room. Whether you have allergies, asthma, or a dust mite problem, this is a powerful unit. You may have to change your filters regularly but you can also check out the Dyson Pure Cool Link review whose filters stay up to 4000 hours.
Dysons Link comes with a remote, but it can also be controlled using a Google Play app and an iOS link app. From the app, you can easily schedule operation times, and review indoor air quality reports, which is very convenient. This HEPA air purifier has ten-speed settings, a self-monitoring mode that will adjust the speed based on clean air quality, a night-time mode, and a sleep timer.
The Dyson Pure Cool Link TP04 air purifier is easy to use, the app is intuitive and it is well designed all around. It performs beautifully and I found that it is one of the best air purifiers for dust that I have ever used. For those looking for an asthma allergy-friendly air purifier then it may be worth checking out our Dyson Pure Hot and Cold purifier review.
Connecting to home Wi-Fi is a bit of a pain, but I’m more concerned about how it worked and I have no complaints there. The air is so much easier to breathe after Dyson has cleaned it.
If you are the type that likes to hide an appliance like this away, the Pure Cool TP04 does make that hard since it is taller than most. I say just let it be seen. It looks good and it cleans the pollutants out of the air like a champ. Plus Dysons app is easy to use.
If you have been shopping and are on the fence, you need to get off that fence and go for the Dyson TP04. Especially if you have asthma or allergies. Your indoor air quality will be much better than the outdoor air quality. Your house will no longer be asthma and allergy friendly when those allergens and pollutants are gone.
