our Verdict

Product testers lauded the Ducky One 2 Mini V2, recommending it for office, gaming, and programming. It inclined between 5° and 13° during testing and professional reviewers loved its portable design. However, if you prefer a full-size keyboard, see our Ducky One 2 review. Tom’s Hardware editors were impressed by its PBT keycaps, and every key turned out to be macro-programmable during testing.
Experts at Review Geek hailed its RGB backlighting with individually lit keys. Experiments done on a variant with Cherry MX Brown switches showed that it has a 52 gf operating force and 2.1mm pre-travel distance. Typing was great and it performed quietly during experiments. However, the keyboard is also available with various Cherry, Gateron, and Kailh switches, which differ in performance and noise characteristics.
Testers were disappointed by its 27.8 ms wired latency. Check out the Ducky One 2 Mini V1 review if low latency is critical for you. The keyboard also doesn’t have customization software and lacks a wrist rest.

Market Context | – | The Ducky One 2 Mini V2 and the Ducky One 2 SF are very similar. However, the SF is slightly bigger, featuring a 65% form factor, compared to the 60% compact Ducky One 2 Mini V2. The One 2 SF has a much faster 14.4 ms wired latency, which dwarfs the 27.8 ms of the Mini V2. | The Razer Huntsman Mini keyboard is better in most departments: It has an aluminum frame and customization software. All these features are lacking on the Ducky One 2 Mini V2. The Razer keyboard is also faster, featuring a latency of 3.5 ms, which is better than the 27.8 ms of the Ducky device. | Although both the Ducky One 2 Mini V2 and HyperX Alloy Origins 60 keyboards are RGB backlit with individually lit keys, the Ducky keyboard provides better color mixing. On the other hand, the HyperX has a better 5.6 ms wired latency, which is better than the 27.8 ms of the Ducky. |
