our Verdict

Top experts were pleased with the Ducky Mecha Mini V2, endorsing it for gamers, programmers, and office users. Editors at SwitchAndClick were impressed by its 60% compact design and outstanding build quality. However, if you prefer a full-size keyboard, check out the Drop SHIFT review. It inclined between 5° and 7° during experiments but disappointed critics because it lacks a wrist rest.

All keys proved to be macro programmable during testing. If you need USB passthrough, see the Corsair K68 RGB review. This Mini V2 model has Cherry MX Brown switches with 55 gf operating force and a 2.0 mm pre-travel distance but it’s also available with a range of other Cherry MX switches.

Typing quality was excellent and the keyboard operated quietly during testing, although the keyboard doesn’t have dedicated arrow keys. See the Duck MIYA Pro review for a device with dedicated arrow keys. Experts at Windows Club gave it full marks for its fully customizable RGB backlighting with per-key lighting. However, It has a so-so 29.1 ms wired latency.
