Dell Unveils First Laptop With 32GB RAM

Does your computer slow down when running lots of programs? Maybe you need to upgrade your RAM to, say, 32GB? Okay, that might be overkill, but the option is now available on the Dell 17-inch Precision M6500 laptop. Now, what’s the point of all that memory, you may ask? It’s used to for big virtual calculations (they use finding oil reserves as an example) or working in programs like AutoCAD. It does so with four RAM slots (with 8GB each). Having that much power is going to cost you, though — the M6500 is over $3,000 dollars with the option.

  1. Well in reality, the more they advance processors; the more RAM they require. Is there ever a plateau? I doubt in our lifetime.

  3. Dell Notebooks are very fast while operating the system, the only issue is the battery back up power, which is not as power compared with some other brands.

      Price too pricey.  However, this is ideal for developer who utilizes all flavor of compilers and build in database such as oracle .  Can’t wait to get one.
