The Creative Blasterx Senz3D Depth Sensing Webcam contains some of the most advanced webcam features we have ever seen. If you’re looking for the best webcam for streaming or the best webcam for YouTube and you’re a gamer, then you’ll find a good friend in the Creative Labs Senz3D Webcam.
The Creative Labs Senz3D fills a very specific niche, and that niche is someone who streams to YouTube playing video games. Sure, you can use it as a casual, business-focused, or leisure-focused webcam if you please, but doing that means you’ll miss out on all the advanced features Intel RealSense Technology has to offer. For another streaming option, read our HZQDLN 1080p HD Webcam review.
Video Resolution on the Creative Labs Senz3D Web Camera is 1080P at 30FPS or 720P at 30FPS, which are the same specs present on the Razer Kiyo Webcam. Using Intel RealSense Technology, you can also add an array of 3D effects and eliminate backgrounds without having to use a green screen. Combined with the smooth visuals, this makes video streaming to YouTube, especially if you’re a gamer, much easier. Check out our Logitech Brio 4K webcam review for a higher resolution option.
Using the Intel Realsense Technology, the Creative Labs Senz3D also enables facial recognition, hand gesture tracking, and 3D scanning. These features allow you to imprint your face onto game characters or game backgrounds, use Windows Hello to log in to your computer or use voice control to control your computer. But if you’re looking for a more straightforward webcam, check out the Logitech C922X Pro Stream Webcam.
The Creative Labs Senz3D does not have a built-in battery and must be connected to a computer, and we mean a computer and not a gaming console, with a compatible OS to operate properly. On the plus side, this means the Creative Labs Senz3D doesn’t have any recharge time or Lithium-Ion battery life expectancy and can keep going as long as you keep it in good condition.
The Creative Labs Senz3D doesn’t even weigh a pound, but the Logitech C930E still feels firm and durable when you hold it. It comes with a USB 3.0 cable, which is nice but is incompatible with anything other than a PC. Mac users will have to find another webcam if they wish to stream. Thankfully, we have a few Mac suggestions with the Ausdom webcam as well as the Ausdom 1080p HD webcam. But if you do own a Windows computer, you’ll be happy to know that it will work with almost all operating systems.
There are still a fantastic amount of features available thanks to the Intel RealSense Technology. Gesture recognition, for example, features 22 points of hand and joint tracking for better control of your gameplay. The mic is enhanced with CrystalVoice Technology for clearer, louder audio, echo cancellation, and noise reduction. It also helps you to communicate with Cortana too!
It’s a shame that Mac users won’t be able to experience the effects of the Creative Labs Senz3D firsthand. But Macs also aren’t really known for their gaming capabilities (or use, for that matter), so it does make sense that Creative would focus most of its efforts on PCs. And what a fantastic effort they’ve put forth with this amazing little webcam.
