Overview

Launched in late 2022, the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro is a mid-range gaming mouse with an ambidextrous design and a high 8000 Hz polling rate. The USB-wired gaming mouse has 2-zone RGB lighting and an 18,000 DPI optical sensor that rivals many of the best computer mice in the industry. The Corsair mouse also has a super low 2ms click latency and a 24-step scroll wheel for accurate movements.

Its companion software works on Windows and MacOS systems, but its ergonomic design is more for right-handed users with a medium to large hand size. Its 8000Hz polling rate is hard for even the best gaming mice to match, but its click noise is quiet, and all its six buttons are programmable. Additionally, its DPI can be adjusted in increments of 1, and its plastic body has a slight texture for good grip and handling.

our Verdict

The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro is a well-built, wired gaming mouse that excels in both comfort and performance. With its added texture and large size, it provides a comfortable grip for all types of hands. Designed for right-handed users, it also has a tested click latency of just 2ms to offer exceptional responsiveness, ensuring no delays during intense gaming sessions or office work. Its 24-step scroll wheel has pronounced steps, but there aren’t any left/right scroll clicks.
Users will also need to download the companion software for customizations, such as accurately adjusting the CPI. Nonetheless, its 8000Hz polling rate ensures smooth scrolling, and the mouse uses Optical LED sensor technology and weighs a relatively light 71g, enhancing its maneuverability and agility.

The fact that the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro is wired gives its wireless counterpart, aptly named the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless, a slight advantage in terms of convenience. Another difference is that the Sabre Pro Wireless has a higher operating resolution of 26,000 DPI than the wired version’s 18,000 DPI. However, the wired Corsair Sabre has a higher polling rate of 8000 Hz than the wireless Corsair Sabre, rated at 2000 Hz. Check out the wireless version in our Corsair Sabre RBG Pro Wireless review.

The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro has a much lower click latency of 2ms than the Corsair Harpoon RGB, rated at 19.7ms. Also, the RGB Pro allows for resolution adjustments in increments of 1 DPI, which is more precise than the Harpoon RGB, which only works with increments of 250 DPI. Lastly, while they both have six programmable inputs, the Sabre RGB Pro has a much quieter click noise. Here’s our Corsair Harpoon RGB review for more insight on it.
