The best grills available in the market will always have little to no flare-ups. And that’s precisely the case with the Char-Broil X200. If you’re looking for the best infrared grills, then this is a great portable propane grill to consider buying.

Why We Like It – Char-Broil X200

Cooking systems with infrared technology built-in have historically been good in terms of overall efficiency, and the case is the same with the Char-Broil X200. This Char-Broil TRU Infrared Propane Gas Grill is mainly advertised as a portable grill. And for the most part, that statement holds true.

Pros
  • Portable gas grill
  • Infrared cooking
  • There’s a temperature gauge on top of the lid
Cons
  • The included valve is not that great
  • Extremely high heat cooking

Power & Heating

Unlike the Broil King Regal S590 Pro, the main burner of this Char-Broil Grill2Go X200 infrared cooking grill can go up to 9500 BTUs, which is better than most portable grills. An average user really shouldn’t need any more power than that. But, if you prefer having a stronger main burner on your grill, you have to go for the Char-Broil TRU Infrared Grill 463276016.

Size & Versatility

This cast iron cooking grill is not very large. But, just like the Magma Grill, it is pretty heavy. The stainless steel cooking grates and the cast iron body is the main reason for the weight. But, carrying the body is pretty much effortless.

Durability

The durability of this thing is absolutely fantastic (even better than the Char-Broil TRU Infrared 14101550). The cast aluminum firebox also is extraordinarily sturdy and won’t give out no matter how much grease and tender juices drip on it. You’ll find that the Coyote S Series grill is just as durable.

Ease Of Use

Portable grills aren’t always the easiest grills to use. And that is mainly because of, well, their portable nature. But, we can definitely say that this stainless steel grill is better than most other portable grills.

Value

For 180 bucks, very few other grills come with cast aluminum-built fireboxes and other advanced features. And this kind of durable cast iron body is often seen on grills with much higher price tags. So in that sense, it’s an extremely good value-for-money grill.

Char-Broil X200 Wrap Up

The Char-Broil X200 is perfect for a budget shopper who prefers gas grills. And its portable nature also makes this cast aluminum & stainless steel infrared grill pretty much perfect for camping, tailgating, cookouts, and picnics.
