Canon’s IXUS 300 HS Camera Achieves 240fps Slow-Mo, 6400 ISO And More

Canon IXUS 300 Camera

The IXUS 300 HS is Canon’s latest digital point and shoot camera that just hit the UK and is set to arrive on US shores any day now.  So what makes it special?  First things first: it can shoot 240fps slow-mo video, albeit at 320×240.  It can also capture 720p video at 30fps when you’re not watching a bullet whiz through an Apple.  It has a very respectable 10 megapixel sensor with a 3.8x optical zoom and a 25mm wide angle lens.  The ISO maxes out at 3200, but if you’re willing to sacrifice resolution to the tune of 2.5 megapixel it can hit 6400 ISO for those low light situations.  Some other specs include a 3-inch LCD, smart auto mode, HDMI output and optical image stabilization.

It’s will be available in black, white, red and silver.  There is no word on US pricing, but in the UK it will start at £379.
