our Verdict

The Brydge Pro pleased product testers, and they endorsed it for mobile and office use. Reviewers at The Verge were impressed with its excellent aluminum frame, 65% compact construction, and ABS keycaps. Testers were pleased with the adjustable white backlight, which made it easy to type at night.
Reviewers at ZDNet lauded its Bluetooth technology, although it doesn’t support multi-device pairing. Check out the ZAGG Pro Keys review if you require dual pairing. This device is rechargeable, and the manufacturer advertises a battery life of up to 12 months.
However, if you prefer a model that draws power from the iPad and doesn’t require charging, see Logitech Combo Touch review. The device boasts rubber dome switches and chicklet-style keys that provided a good typing experience during testing. It proved to be remarkably quiet, earning an endorsement for office use.
Experiments revealed an unusually high 72 gf needed operating force and a short 1.0mm pre-travel distance. However, this model doesn’t support adjusting the incline and has a high 32.1 ms Bluetooth latency.

Market Context | – | Featuring larger keys, the Brydge Pro provides a more comfortable typing experience than the Brydge 10.2 Keyboard for Apple iPad. Also, while the Pro is designed for 3rd and 4th Gen iPad Pro, the 10.2 is meant for use on 7th Gen iPad. Our Brydge 10.2 Keyboard for Apple iPad review offers more details about the Brydge 10.2. | The Brydge Pro boasts a much sturdier aluminum design that is radically different from the fabric and plastic Logitech Folio Touch. Also, unlike the Logitech device, the Brydge Pro uses Bluetooth tech, connecting to a wider range of devices than the iPad-limited Folio Touch. The Logitech Folio Touch draws power from the connected device and doesn’t require recharging like the Brydge Pro. | Unlike the Apple Magic Keyboard 2017 which offers full compatibility with iPad, Mac, and iPhone, some of the buttons on the Brydge Pro don’t work with iPhones and Macs. However, the Brydge device features dimmable white backlighting, unlike the Apple Magic keyboard. |
