The Braun MultiQuick 5 is a powerful, ergonomic hand blender that fits well in most kitchens. It excels at blending hot and fibrous ingredients with minimal splashing. However, it struggles with crushing ice and offers just two attachments.
The Braun MultiQuick 5 is a mid-range immersion blender that hit the market back in 2015, offering two dishwasher-safe stainless steel blades for hot and cold meals. This model excels with hot soups, thanks to the immersion design.

What the brand doesn’t always tell you…
our Verdict
The Braun MultiQuick 5 is a powerful hand blender with ergonomic and sturdy build quality. It features a soft grip so your hand stays comfortable during use.
With a powerful 400-Watt motor, this appliance easily tackles hot ingredients and fibrous fruits and veggies with minimal splashing. However, it’s nearly impossible to crush ice and frozen chunks of food with the MultiQuick.
The blender also operates very quietly, with an impressive 65 dB of sound during testing. This hand blender includes just two additional attachments: a beaker for smoothies and a whisk.
The attachments are well-built, but with only two, you’re limited to just those functions. The MultiQuick is easy to clean, thanks to dishwasher-safe components, but the grip on the motor portion attracts a lot of dust.

The Braun MultiQuick 7 produces better spreadable butter in less time than the Braun MultiQuick 5 Hand Blender, which takes over 10 minutes to process just 32 ounces of almond nuts. However, the MultiQuick 5 has two speed settings, unlike the MultiQuick 7 that offers no way of controlling the motor speed. See our Braun MultiQuick 7 Hand Blender review for details.
