This Boss Office Products task chair may have a design that’s pretty similar to what office chairs used to look like back in the early 2000s, but its looks shouldn’t deceive you into thinking that the chair is old in any way. It’s also not expensively priced, unlike the high-end Hawthorn office chairs, since it retails at about $70, and with an impressive 6-year warranty, there shouldn’t be any reason to doubt the chair’s build quality.
The office chair has a sturdy 5-star nylon base that supports a weight capacity of up to 250 pounds, so you can rest assured that the char won’t crumble apart as you’re using it. If you’re shopping around for the best office chair for short people, spare a few minutes and go through this review to find out if the Boss Office Products chair might be worth considering. And while you are at it, also check out our review of the best office chair.
The Boss Office Products Perfect Posture Delux Fabric Task Chair is a simple, affordable, and easy-to-assemble chair that’s got adjustable armrests, and is available in 3 colors. The one key feature missing on this chair is the tilt function, and this means you won’t be able to tilt the seat back. If you have a pet that likes to steal your seat whenever you move, check out our guide on how to get cat hair off an office chair.
It’s pretty obvious that there’s no lumbar support that you can expect to get from this Boss Office chair. It’s not adapted in any way for users who might have a back problem, and if this sounds like you, then you’ll be better off going for the Herman Miller Aeron Chair since it comes with adjustable back support for your spine. The Boss Office chair does, however, come with an ergonomic backrest, and this will help you cultivate and maintain the perfect posture with continued use. If you’re interested in another supportive backrest, you’ll want to check out the BossOffice Products budget mesh task chair. The thick padded seat and padded backrest on the black Boss Office Delux chair make it very comfortable to sit on, and while we do wish that the chair came with a padded armrest like the AmazonBasics Leather Mid-Back Office Chairs, we are at least happy that the armrests are adjustable. The seat cushion on the Boss Office chair takes up a waterfall seat design, and this is essential because it encourages blood flow to your legs, thereby helping you stay seated for longer periods. If you know you’ll be seated for long periods, then you’ll want to try the OFM Core Collection modern fabric upholstered office chair.

The pneumatic gas lift on this Boss Office chair allows you to raise or lower the seat height of this chair, with its lowest point being 18.5 inches, and its highest point being 23.5 inches. Its armrests are also easily adjustable, but the only adjustment that you’ll be able to make to them is to either raise or lower them. Read our Office Factor reception guest chairs review for a model that has flip-up armrests. The black Boss Office chair doesn’t come with a tilt tension control knob like the Flash Furniture Mid-Back Black Mesh Swivel Ergonomic Task Office Chair does, and this means you won’t be able to tilt the chair back.
The Boss Office Delux posture chair consists of breathable black tweed fabric, and to give you an idea of how it compares to other materials, the thick padded tweed fabric is far much better than a leather chair, but not really as good as a mesh chair like in our Serta essential mesh low back computer desk task chair review. If you are still trying to decide what material is best for your needs, check out our fabric vs leather office chair or our office chair mesh vs fabric comparisons as well.
There is a substantial amount of assembly required for this chair, but it would only take about 15 minutes tops to put together, and you wouldn’t even need any additional tools to do so. Its double-wheel casters also help it roll smoothly over the floor, and its seat back can also be customized for depth and height. The Boss Office chair is a great chair to consider buying if you don’t have very serious needs, and it’s also quite affordable, so you won’t have to dig too deep into your pocket to buy it. At a size of 17.5 inches W x 16.5 inches D, the chair leaves a very small footprint, making it ideal for your home office or workplace, even if you happen to be short of space.
