At about $329, the Bissell air purifier might be considered slightly more expensive compared to what most air purifiers tend to cost, but if you’re shopping around for the best air purifier that you can get, it’s an option that you certainly need to look into.
Its design is of a more classic aesthetic, so if you’re the kind of person that appreciates a vintage appeal, then it would make a perfect addition to your interior decor. For other units with fine designs, check out our BlueAir Classic 605 review, BlueAir Blue Pure 211 review, and the Alen BreatheSmart Flex review, which looks oddly enough like a standing router.
The Bissell air purifier also boasts a number of special features that make it a lot easier to operate. Compared to many options available in the market, it’s also got what it takes to rank as the best smart air purifier available. Go ahead and get to the end of this review to see what else it’s got in store.
The Bissell Air Purifier boasts of an automated CirQulate System to always give you an accurate air quality reading thanks to a PM 2.5 particle sensor, elevated platform legs for better stability, a soft touch dial for easy control, and an impressive room coverage of up to 1000 Square Feet. Unlike the Alexapure Breeze, the Bissell Air Purifier has an impressive room coverage of up to 1000 sq ft, placing it slightly ahead of the Rabbit Air Minusa2 Air Purifier, which is only suitable for room sizes of up to 815 square feet. It’s also got 5 fan speed options, but the good thing about it is that you’ll be able to switch it to auto mode and have it variate between the different levels depending on your indoor air quality. The filter utilizes a 3 stage filtration system that includes the use of a HEPA filter, a fabric pre-filter, and an activated carbon filter to get rid of bad odors. To keep the Bissell air purifier running, you’ll only need an electrical outlet that offers about 120 volts, so the unit can be considered relatively energy efficient. However, you could do some things to make sure that it runs even more efficiently. In the evening, you could switch the unit to night mode and have it operate much more quietly than normal. Unfortunately, the purifier doesn’t really have a timer that you could use to schedule its operation, but if this is something that you can’t do without, we suggest going for the Airmega 400s.
There’s not a lot to say about the versatility of the Bissell air purifier. Its functioning is similar to that of the Coway Airmega 300, but the Airmega 300 boasts an energy star certification and guarantees quiet operation. They both have one carbon filter & one HEPA filter to generate clean air, though the Bissell Air320 boasts of an automated CirQulate System that monitors and provides air quality readings so that you’re able to know how clean the air you’re breathing is. The Bissell Air Purifier is backed by an impressive 5-year warranty, which is a kind of policy you probably won’t find anywhere else. This means they have a lot of faith in their product, and should there be an issue that arises, you should feel free to reach out to the manufacturer, and they’ll probably send a replacement or have their technicians look at it. You also need to be mindful of when you should replace the HEPA filter; ideally, this should be every 6-8 months.
With a pre-filter activated carbon filter and a HEPA filter, pollutants such as dust pollen and pet dander stand no chance against the Bissell air purifier. The unit also boasts of a high-quality build, and a night mode that the purifier automatically switches to when night sets in, thanks to its ambient light sensor. Just the carbon filter alone could make it the best air purifier for odor control.
With every purchase of a Bissel unit, a small part of the earnings are directed towards an initiative to help save pets through the Bissell Pet Foundation. They help save pets that have been abandoned and left outside as homeless.
