Where did you get your keyboard and is it a 3.0 or 4.0 interface? Oh, and brand is it?
We bought the Zagg. It works as advertised, but the keys are too small for touch typing. If that’s what you need it for, I would get a more full sized BT keyboard.
I always use the official apple wireless keyboard as I find it works perfect much like all of apples products.
Great review ! I got the QQ tech keyboard case
Several of these don’t have a command key, which makes them useless. I made the mistake of getting a iPad Mini Mod. Ugh!
Did you write this on your phone, or is English not your native language? Who would trust a review with this many typos? Useless. Why even bother?
Why do you bother? This isn’t a review, it’s a (banal) description of what’s on the tin. Pointless
Mine is iPad Mini Leather Bluetooth Keyboard Case on ipadmates for $32. It has a personalized PU leather case, packaging design, easy to carry within keyboard inside
What is the Bluetooth interface – 2 0, 3.0, or 4.0? I’ve tried three keyboards – all 3.0. – and found that the 3.3 does now with the ipad mini? Have I missed something? Any help is appreciated – I really need a keyboard the same size as the mini.
Thank you for the roundup but I need ease-of-typing reports. None of these are available near me and I could blow the cost of a small ultrabook buying and rejecting (damned restocking fees) each of these keyboards.
I’ve been using Apple’s bluetooth keyboard with my first generation iPad and while i like it, it’s a bit of pain having to carry them both around. Have you seen Belkin’s iPad Mini Keyboard Case? It’s the most portable one that I’ve seen so far (I’m getting an iPad Mini for Christmas).
Great overview. Are you aware of a case for the iPad mini that 1) holds the Apple BT keyboard and 2) the mini? I’m envisioning something like the Origami Workstation, but with a storage system for iPad incorporated.
Are any of these non-Bluetooth? I.e., usable on airplanes?
You can use Bluetooth on airplanes..
..and technical details too!….
Thank you for this helpful summary of keyboards available for the mini! It would be wonderful if these mini-reviews included details like weight. We’re attracted to the mini because it’s so small and light. How much of that do we lose when we add a keyboard?
The lightest keyboard case is the Belkin, followed by the Kensington keyboard case.
