The best electric kettle combines speed, volume, and safety features in one easy to use countertop design. While there are a lot of electric kettles that have some of these features, we scoured through dozens of available options to narrow it down to seven that have all of them in one nice little package. Finding the best kitchen appliances can be time-consuming but very satisfying when you find those gems.
Of these seven best electric kettles that made the list, the Miroco Electric Kettle came out on top because of its quick speed (it can bring 8 cups of water to a boil in under 7 minutes) and durable stainless steel electric design. The double-walled stainless steel interior also stood out due to its ability to retain heat water quickly and prevent contamination of your water. Speaking of clean water, the Best Water Filters will help with that. To learn more about this double wall electric water kettle and the other six electric tea kettles that made the list, keep reading.

The Miroco 1.5L Electric Kettle easily checked off all of our best electric kettle boxes. It safely holds just over six cups of water in its double-walled stainless steel interior and has a fast boil. Its 1500 watt heater can bring heated water to a boil in under seven minutes, so there’s minimal downtime while water boiling and waiting for a hot cup of tea or coffee.
This stainless steel double wall electric water kettle was also designed to prevent water from touching any plastic, so you don’t have to worry about contamination as your water comes to a boil. While it has no effect on its performance, the sleek black exterior makes the Miroco something that you’d be proud to display on your counter. For those of you who prefer a pop of color, it also comes in bright orange. Not always easy to clean though. Along with electric kettles, a best air fryer will also help your kitchen run more smoothly.
Update: A newer version of this model is the Gooseneck Electric Pour Over Kettle that gets water boiling in no time. This water boiler is a variable temperature kettle for coffee and tea brewing with a gooseneck spout and an ergonomically designed handle that allows for a subtle adjustment to the flow rate and speed drop by drop. The pour over kettle also features prompt temperature checking so you can read the real-time hot water temperature. The Gooseneck kettle’s construction is grade 304 stainless steel inside and out, with a sleek design and 1200 watt rapid heating so you don’t have to wait too long for your hot water. With the Gooseneck kettle, you can set your desired temperature between 104°F and 204°F to get your water boiling in just 2 minutes and hold it there for 60 minutes thanks to the keep warm function with built-in NTC thermistor that senses a one degree change.
If your main goal is to get caffeinated, the HadinEEon Variable Temperature Electric Kettle is the kitchen gadget you need. With six different pre-programmed temperatures designed to bring out the optimal taste and quality of coffee and tea, you’ll never have to settle for a mediocre cup of joe. This water boiler conveniently tells you the boiling temperatures for different teas and French press coffee.
While the concealed heating element in this water kettle isn’t as powerful as our top pick’s (the HadinEEon is 1200 watts compared to the #1 Miroco’s 1500), the extra capacity makes up for it. The HadinEEon can hold two liters of water (.5 L more than our #1), which is close to 8.5 cups, and it has settings that you can use to keep that water warm for 12 hours. The lower wattage doesn’t make a significant difference in the timing either; the HadinEEon can bring a full kettle to a boil in about 10 minutes. To compliment your kettle, you can get cleaner water with the Best Types of Home Water Filter Systems. And you can keep your kitchen sink clean and unclogged with the best garbage disposal cleaner.
Although it’s one of the most expensive options on the list, the price tag of the AICOK Variable Temperature Electric Kettle reflects the sleek stainless steel design that doesn’t just improve the kettle’s longevity; it makes it look good too. The power is on par with most of the other kettles—the AICOK has a 1500 watt heating element that can bring its maximum capacity of 1.7 liters to a boil in just five minutes. For more breakfast options, you may want to also consider the best centrifugal juicer. And, if you enjoy some sweet treats with your coffee or tea, the best hand mixer is a great addition to your kitchen.
Like the HadinEEon, the AICOK comes equipped with six preset temperature settings perfectly calibrated for different types of teas and coffee. You can choose which temperature you want by using the “set” button that’s neatly laid out on the kettle’s handle to toggle through the different options. Although you can keep the water hot with the “keep warm” setting, the kettle will only stay on for two hours. Other options can go up to 12 hours, but its 2 hours is still better than similar competitor models such as the Cuisinart CPK-17 that holds water at the set temperature for only 30 minutes. These kettles don’t make juices, however, so you may want to also read about the best blenders under $100.
The Proctor Silex Electric Tea Kettle is an ideal option for someone who wants an electric kettle that can stand up to a little abuse. Because it’s frame is made of plastic, you don’t have to worry about it breaking like a glass electric kettle or denting like stainless steel. It’s also the least expensive option on the list, although you do have to sacrifice some volume and power for a smaller price tag.
The Proctor Silex has an 1100 watt heating element that brings its one liter capacity to a boil in about five minutes. While the speed is on par with the other options, keep in mind the volume is 50 to 100 percent less compared to others on our list. Although it’s not completely cordless, you can detach this one liter electric kettle from the cord when it comes time to serve for more portability. With this kettle and the best slow cooker, you are all set.
With a one liter capacity, the Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle is tied with the Proctor Silex for the smallest kettle on the list, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The smaller size (and the cordless serving option) makes it extremely portable and quick to boil in just 3 minutes.
While it’s considerably smaller than our top two picks, the Hamilton Beach’s 1500 watt rapid boil system rivals the power you’d get for about half the price. Pair that with its sleek stainless finish and automatic shutoff with dry boil protection, and this kettle is a big little winner. For healthy juice, read about the best masticating juicer.
The Mueller Premium Electric Kettle combines beauty and function in one of the largest kettles on our list. Its 1500 watt power heats 1.8 liters of water in about 8 minutes at full capacity. At minimum capacity, you can heat water quickly in just two minutes.
In addition to its speed, the Mueller comes equipped with LED lights that indicate when the kettle is heating and a safety auto-shut off features that activates within 30 seconds after the water is boiling. When removed from the base, the kettle becomes completely cordless, so you can conveniently pour water while securely holding the anti-slip heat-resistant grip handle. With this water and the best whole bean coffee, you will have some good java.
With a 1100 watt heating element and 1.7L capacity, the Aigostar is a little slower than others on the list, but you may be willing to trade a few extra minutes of heating time for the additional features. The Aigostar is made from high-quality glass that prevents the water from coming into contact with any of the plastic elements. It’s also equipped with a blue light that indicates when the water is boiling and adds some visual appeal.
Because the kettle is made of glass, it’s also stain resistant and easy to clean. Just add water, lemon, and a little bit of vinegar and bring to a boil and you’re done. The best Nespresso machines need good water, so do the best coffee pods and this delivers.
While boiling water may seem like the most basic of tasks, the electric kettles that made our list are anything but basic. We sorted through the dozens of options out there to find the kettles that have the ability to heat a large volume of water in less than 10 minutes. We also considered how portable the electric kettles were, if they offered a cordless design when pouring and whether or not they were equipped with safety features, like auto shut-off and heat-resistant technology.
While electric kettles and their containers come in a variety of materials from stainless steel to glass to plastic, we didn’t make inclusions or exclusions from our list based largely on that since the best electric kettle material can be extremely subjective. While stainless steel tends to hold heat better than glass or plastic, plastic is more durable and glass lets you easily monitor water level since you can see through it. So with that in mind, we included all the best electric kettles in several different types of material.
