The Lapierre Esensium 300 is designed from the ground up to fit the female form, with an ultra-durable multi-alloy frame and a comfortable Selle Italia X3 XP Lady Boost Saddle. We loved the light form factor, as it weighs just 30 pounds, and the Continental Ultra Sport 2 wheels, which excel on pavement, asphalt, and many other terrain types. The Shimano hydraulic disc brakes provide plenty of stopping power, even during inclement weather.
Though the ebike motion X35 motor is great at climbing hills and accelerating, it does max out at 15.5 miles per hour, so take that into consideration. Also, the 250Wh lithium-ion battery can get around 50 or 60 miles per use, depending on the rider’s weight, but is not easily removable for the purposes of remote charging. Still, this is one of the best electric bikes around.

Though the Bosch Active Line Plus 250W electric motor is great for hills and difficult terrain, it maxes out at around 15.5 miles per hour, so keep that in mind before you purchase. Also, we found the integrated rear light to be on the dimmer side, though the front-facing headlight produced enough light for night riding. This is one of the best bikes, especially when it comes to durability.

The Ribble Endurance SL e can easily tackle the kinds of hills and ultra-steep inclines that comparable models may struggle with, thanks to MAHLE ebikemotion motor that is optimized for said inclines. We loved the lightweight Panasonic lithium battery, which gets 60 miles per charge and recharges in around three hours, and the full carbon frame and fork which give this bicycle an exceptional amount of durability.
Though the motor is optimized for hills, it isn’t the speediest electric motor on the market, maxing out at around 15 miles per hour. Additionally, the base model of this bike doesn’t come with a headlight, though one can be purchased separately. This Ancheer Electric City Bike comes in at a value-friendly price point while offering features in line with higher-priced competitors, such as a six-speed gear shifting system for ascending steep inclines and a powerful 12.5 AH lithium-ion battery that gets anywhere from 35 to 40 miles on a single charge. We loved the front and rear dual mechanical disc brakes, which offer good stopping power, and the durable aluminum alloy frame.
Though the electric motor can certainly handle a steep incline with ease, it suffers slightly in the speed department, with a max speed of 16 miles per hour. This is a pretty heavy electric bike, however, clocking in at 50 pounds and it does not feature walk-assist functionality. Also, the built-in 250-watt electric motor can go plenty fast, up to 28 miles per hour, but accelerates on the slower side. The Blix Aveny electric bicycle is an extremely attractive and stylish option that is available in a wide variety of colors to suit the tastes of nearly any consumer. We loved the modular rack design, complete with smart mounting points, for the addition of unique accessories. This bike also comes equipped with puncture-resistant tires made from Kevlar and ultra-luminous LED lights located on the front and rear of the bicycle.
Though the lithium battery can get around 45 miles per charge, we did notice that the charger took a while to reach said maximum charge, nearly seven hours in some cases. To help narrow down the above list, we made sure to choose bicycles with plenty of features suitable for female riders. To that end, we liked lightweight frames that were designed with the female form in mind. The same can be said for seatposts and saddles, as we tended to choose bicycles that were comfort-forward in nearly every aspect.
The motor was also important and, as such, we chose powerful motors made by reputable companies such as Bafang Bosch. These motors needed to have plenty of oomph for steep inclines and for performing errands on city streets. Battery life and maximum range were also considerations, as we made sure that each and every bike on the above list could last for at least 30 miles per charge.
As for safety features, we liked bicycles equipped with smooth hydraulic or mechanical disc brakes and those that included ultra-durable frames made from aluminum alloy or carbon steel. Finally, we liked aesthetically pleasing electric bikes that were often available in a wide variety of color options to suit different consumers.
