The BenQ Zowie FK1 provides a comfortable shape, reliable performance, and excellent build quality—great for gamers seeking a simple, no-nonsense mouse. However, it lacks customization options and has subpar scroll wheel functionality.

The Snapshot

our Verdict

With a sturdy build quality, reliable sensor, low click-latency, and comfortable ambidextrous shape, suitable for palm and claw grips, the BenQ Zowie FK1 effectively provides excellent gaming performance. And its driverless plug-and-play approach keeps things simple. Latency was tested at just 9 ms, meaning the delay between click and command is hardly noticeable. However, the mouse falls short in design customization options, given it lacks companion software and comes with only four presets, meaning those looking for robust customizability may be disappointed. However, the mouse falls short in design customization options, given it lacks companion software and comes with only four presets, meaning those looking for robust customizability may be disappointed.

There are also some physical deficiencies, such as a scroll wheel that doesn’t unlock for free scrolling and a stiff rubber cord. But despite these limitations, it performs well and caters to FPS games, MMOs, and macro-intensive work.

What Is Not On the Box

What the brand doesn’t always tell you…

First released way back in mid-2014, the BenQ Zowie FK1 is a mid-range gaming mouse that boasts a curved shape with a matte grip for ergonomics and comfort while gaming.

Sadly, unlike some of the highest-ranked computer mouse options available in the market today, it does not have official companion software for customization.

But similar to some of the best gaming mouse models, it does feature a 3200 DPI A3310 sensor that is adjustable using a hardware switch. If you need a higher DPI mouse, make sure to visit our ASUS Spatha X review.

The BenQ Zowie FK1 has an input latency of 9 ms. And it features a total of five buttons (including the clickable scroll wheel, mouse clicks, and the back and forward buttons on its left), but none of them are customizable.

If you need customizable buttons, visit our ASUS Tuf Gaming Mouse M4 Air review.
